They seem to have worked out the DoH properly now, been testing 7.18 for the last 24hrs. so for that reason alone It's worth the bother for me now!

A 16-core ARM64 clocked at 2GHz is pretty beefy, it will do about 16Gbps with some filter rules.

100GB link between the CPU and Switch chip? (rather than the 4x10GB in the CCR2116)
