I'm confused. The router I have that the person asked about doesn't have wireless
Sorry my bad, I bought a Mikrotik Hap ax2 a little while back which is what I was referring to. So all the tests are from a laptop with a Realtek RTL8822CE M.2 which has 2 WDR 3600 Antennas plugged into it. I'm testing 80-wide to an Archer A7 then to my new Mikrotik Hap ax2 re the graph above. The Reason I asked is because I've not seen you comment on your new device since you created the Thread. I was looking at buying one in the future!

Ahh right ok cool. I'm hopeful that I can have it up and active within the next few weeks.

All I tested in it was the poe capability lol.

I am waiting for the rewiring of my house to be done which is blocked by the roofing job and i am waiting for the community fibre to be installed (I have pushed that back 4 times now!)

Is there such a thing as an SFP+ that runs at 2.5Gbps? I thought the underlying interface was always 10Gbps.

Mikrotik S+RJ10

Yes but No - it's up to the switch to implement anything other than 10Gbps (most switches won't)

Edit:
Nothing mentioned on the compatibility matrix or support page about it not running at 2.5Gb in the CRS309-1G-8S+

But on the routerOS via winbox, there is no option to select 2.5gb on the ports

Not sure if this helps.

# cat /proc/lan_sds/lan_sds_cfg
lan_sds_mode = 4(HiSGMII PHY)
# flash get LAN_SDS_MODE
LAN_SDS_MODE=0

"Yes please, on all CCR, CRS and RBs
:wink:

Every experience I've had with MikroTik's Wi-Fi has been that it's balls. I wonder if being able to use the vendor drivers now they are on a modern Linux kernel has fixed that.

I don't know what to say. Re my experience other than positive, If I had problems I would say it's garbage but it just isn't. But then I've never used anything Old.
Depending on whether those are 2.4GHz or 5GHz they’re either fine or they’re terrible. For 5 GHz these days you should be see8ng high 400’s plus and on AX clients (which those won’t be) I would be expecting see 600-800Mbps.
