----------Official Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Thread----------

Its need for speed at the end of the day not GT5 ;)

It doesn't look or feel like NFS or GT, that's the issue I (and seemingly many others) have.

That said, I'll give the demo another bash when I have a chance. I do want to like it, I really do, but I also don't want to buy it if I'm going to be disappointed. Already done that once this month with MoH.

So what is everyones best time on the cop level?

I did 1:24:05 this morning with the 370z.

Really liking the demo, I just hope you get to roam the map like Most Wanted, and not just select events to compete in.

OMG (in my opinion!) what on earth have Criterion done ?

Just played it on PS3, the graphics are terrible, frame rate sucks (it's a 30fps game), and cars handle like tanks.

How could they get it so wrong ? You just feel totally disconnected from the experience of driving.

Ah well it's saved me £40

I've just done my first event, I loved it! I chose the Ford Crown Victoria for the lulz and it's actually a beast, awesome handling and pretty quick too. It's so satisfying calling in a roadblock or a stinger. :D

pretty much this,

although i was curious because my controller is knackered, ( triggers dont work properly ), i'm glad i'm not the only one that thought this

Yep, Rubberband AI just does my nuts in and virtually every NFS since Most Wanted has had it :/

Tried to beat a few peoples times, had one car to get was in the low 1 minute, full nos used and nothing, I was doing 170+ and the car was just not getting any closer, FFFUUU

How can you ask people to beat a time set by friends when the AI is just unrealistic

Looks more like Burnout than NFS. Long boring tracks, none of the twists and turns, junctions etc. of Most Wanted. Just Burnout with NFS name slapped on it isn't it?

Why didn't EA tell Criterion that Most Wanted is the benchmark and to make an updated and improved version of that. Not a simplistic Burnout clone.

I don't need to watch it, I played it. It just seemed to have very little depth or style to it, totally devoid of any filters which usually make the colours look smoother.

Playing the demo I thought the graphics were fine, I wasn't sitting there going "oh my god these are rubbish" and I'm quite anal about presentation.
