*** Official Nintendo Wii U thread ***

Probably gonna end up trading in my 2 360's (One came free with the fridge! ;) ) and games for this and some launch titles.

Why not? haven't been on in a year or so .. will keep the PS3 for blu ray though (finally, after how many years is the PS3 more useful then my 360 to me :p )

2 shops were offering 199/210 pre orders at first and now everywhere is 250?! Price fixing going on me thinks, that is way to high for me. 210 was acceptable.. 299 dollors is 180 quid FFS! Why do UK customers always get royally butt rammed..

Because there's more to it than just a direct comparison of the store price? Customs? VAT? Market size and economies of scale?

Its funny really, after the announcement there was a variation in prices for the base model from £220-£260, then a few places started to change their pricing last night to £210 .. and now suddenly everywhere is £250. Agree 100% on dodgy practice.

It's true all of a sudden everywhere is 250, blatantly a price fix by all the major retailers. I hate this draconian dictatorship I live in..

Only thing thats concerning me is that the place ive ordered from arnt listing the sensor bar as part of the bundle, when the same model at other places is...typo im thinking.

Just read the bit about USB external drives.
SO MUCH WIN.

Will take the basic please and thank you. I prefer white anyways..
Actually pretty excited...

That's the 'launch window' line up isn't it? The number of games actually out for launch is much smaller from what I read.

Yes, that's the launch window line-up.

EU games actually available at launch are:

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
FIFA 13
Mass Effect 3: Special Edition
New Super Mario Bros. U
Nintendo Land
Rayman Legends
ZombiU
Trine 2: Director’s Cut
Toki Tori 2
Nano Assault Neo

Yeah got that, still doesn't excuse the fact that 32GB is **** poor and so we have to spend more just to get adequate storage :(

It's starting to look like £400 for the console + HDD which imo is twice as much as it should be.....

Very dissapointed atm, i thought Nintendo would come out all guns blazing tbh

To be honest we don't know how much space general things like saves and demos will take up yet so we can't judge just how limiting it will be. I doubt you'd need more than say 64GB extra storage that can be had in SD format for 30 quid that is very likely to be supported by the Wii U. I don't think it's meant to be a media machine like the PS3 where you need hundreds of GBs of storage for videos etc.

Does anyone know if every/most games will support the Pro Controller?
