My car won't be in the best of condition though unfortunately but it will have to do.

Its a rover 220 GSi turbo :D
 
Thats a shame but have a nice holiday :)

I took it to someone today to change the turbo but he said the one I bought was no good. When he checked my one for play he said it wasn't too bad. He given me a few things to try but I still think its the turbo because the car is slower than when I first got it and is sluggish in 4th and 5th. Hopefully it will be sorted soon :)
 
Watch for the boost dropping off at higher revs. You're probably just getting used to the power :D

Shame you don't live closer really. If you're ever around Manchester, give me a shout :)
 
It seems to boost well when in higher revs but lower gears :confused:

If im getting used to the power already, im gonna have to add more stuff to get more power! :D

I might take you up on that offer and take a trip to Manchester :)
 
As there's less wind resistance at lower speeds, the engine doesn't have as much to fight against allowing it to pull better. Still shouldn't really struggle in the higher gears though.

haha, just turn the boost down for a few weeks and then turn it up again, will keep you grinning!
 
LMAO! I was using my mums car when I was on holiday last week and its a 1.6 Bora. My car put a nice grin on my face when I got back in it but im sure the turbo is lagging and it just doesn't feel right. It'll get sorted eventually :)
 
Looks like I may have to give this a miss, as I might not get far round the route by 4pm-ish, which is when I'd have to head off back.

Can anyone give me an idea of where you got to on the last meet by about 4pm? Would be useful to gauge if its worth coming along for or not - thanks.

Think we got to about Whitby then started to head north so you'll get a decent run out.

I think we were in Sandsend around that time on the last meet? Don't think we quite got to Saltburn by then.
