im not 100% but silver arrows may work as i think you have to kill ghosts with 'special' weapons (i.e. magic, silver etc...)

Same as me. You need to find a weapon of silver. As above, if they exist silver arrows will do it. I'm still searching for a silver weap, but did see one in someones house earlier today, can't recall where :(
 
There`s a dungeon somewhere with lots of `silver weapon` wielding skellies for the taking :-)


On a less cheerful note, shortly after discovering that little gem this afternoon my 360 decided it no longer wanted to work by exhibiting almost constant crashing (no red lights) grrrr. Sorted a return and its off to the UPS depot tomorrow :-(
 
My Dark Elf character was bitten by a vampire during a nap whilst exploring some ruins yesterday. I felt I couldnt be bothered with the extra hassle so reloaded a previous save. Now, no matter where I try to sleep I get attacked, even in the fighters guild! If I don't sleep I can't level up, if I sleep I become a Vampire! Arrrggghhh! Still loving the game though.
 
has anyone been to the dagon shrine and done the quest i was talking about before? really need help, i want my stuff back! Most of it doesn't bother me, but the thing i got for becoming arena grand champion does!

On the way to the shrine now, but it's my bedtime lol. Got to be up for work early so I'll be continuing this tommorow.
 
dammit! ok when you've done it (presuming you give them the equipment, i just did as i thought i had to), plz tell me if you got it back, and how!

Well dont give the guy your equipement! Luckily i saved just before! What i did was say no to giving the equipment then he says blah blah kill kill! The you run to the shrine grab the book then run out with all your equipment! I gave him all my stuff first to know how to get out of the place then i reloaded and kept my equipment and did it, just run away from all the attacking people and get out of the cave with the book!

I quickly did it this morning in about 20mins. What 5bjoshua worked nicely. I went in, killed almost everything, took the book and returned to cloud ruler temple. Sadly I never got the amulet - don't think you can tbh.

The baddies weren't too hard, its just theres loads of them so I had to use a few minor heal spells while on the run :)
 
Can someone confirm something for me? I've joined the Fighting Guild but been suspended for stealing from them (got to find 20 bear pelts to get back in :eek: ). I know you can't join if you have a criminal record, but can you go to jail and still remain in the guild after joining? I need to get into the Bruma jail for a quest.
 
i'm in theif guild so been in prison couplle time and fighters guild still let me join didnt think matter if you had crim record i've stolen from them to afer joining didnt get caught though might be why havent been kicked out cant you break into the prison?
 
I killed one of the dogs at the Fighters Guild in Anvil, they threw me out for stealing from them, WTF lol!

Maybe they've changed how it works then. Unfortunately the quest requires you to gain the trust of a prisoner who currently considers you an outsider when you visit him. You have to get sent to prison to gain that trust.

I'm saved at this point right now, question is (and its probably been answered) if I get sent to jail to gain his trust and get further into this side-quest, will it affect my factions? I'm in the Blades, Fighters Guild and Mages Guild.

True, kinda know what you mean, but my total playtime is nearly 44hours and I've only shut one Oblivion gate. The rest has been taken up by guild and mini quests.

i cant see it mattering since its gotta be done to do the quest but worse comes to worse cant you just pay wateva fine they charge to get you reappointed in the guild?
