If you fancy making your own spells, and making enchanted weapons, then most definitely. I'm sure there's a lot of quests to do as well, I've just not got around to them yet :o
 
There is just so much to do. I remembered today that I had started the Arena about a week ago and have forgot to go back and have another go!

mmmmm where to next :D

Can get em cheap from the theives guild apparently. If you're not in that, you can get them cheap from Shady Sam. A cloaked in black chap who hangs around the outside wall of the imperial city. Just hug the wall and circle round and you'll find him.
 
i cant stop breaking the law, this game brings out the bad in me, all i do is naff stuff

on a side note i have an invisible spell n people still see me :S
 
This game is just plain stupid - I can't stop playing the bugger! At work all I think about is what to do in oblivion once I reach home! Sad or *** :o

* Today I shut down a few more gates around some towns
* Managed to get trapped on a rock while 4 dremora baddies are charging at me (I died)
* Accidently 'stole' a bottle of wine instead of clicking on an shopkeeper npc
* Got encumbered with really good loot in the middle of the oblivion wastelands
* Went afk for 3mins only to find myself dead when I returned...an oblivion gate had somehow appeared nearby and one of those fiery female fireball hurling baddies shish kebabed me.

i seriously suck at this game, i'm on the main quest where i have to collect the 4th book from the guy in the sewers with that other dude. i keep dying when the 3 people transform and attack.
 
I let the other guy sit in the chair and I went upstairs for that part. After a couple of failed attempts, I found the best way to do it was to wait right by the gate they open (over the bridge thing) and hit them as hard/much as I could before they could transform, I had to use a few potions though to keep my health up.

Certainly was a tough fight, but not impossible. The last guy I fireballed a lot whilst back peddling, and then stood toe to toe and cut him down. Come to think of it, he got me to within a whisker of health as well!

I'm now stuck on the next "main" part of the quest, where you have to do an escape. Won't spoil it by saying any more in this post, but will post a new question.

I'm a bit stuck on the escape from the dawn brotherhood dudes. I've grabbed the book and run like billy-o up the stairs (to the right) and have found my way through to what looks to be the exit, however, there's a rock door blocking the way.

I did notice whilst on the run that there was a guard actually running ahead of me towards my planned exit point. This dude killed me. Do I have to kill him to get the rock open (ie does he hold a key or something) or is the rock opened someplace else by a switch/lever etc?

Also, did you guy sacrifice the argonian on the alter or not? :D

I found the best way to do it was to first shoot an arrow at the guy down below, then another at the lead guy coming through the gate - wasn't much more bother to take them out while the other chap finished off the third downstairs. Took a few attempts before my mate survived because he's a lightweight but wasn't too difficult.

I've just done a bit further on in the main quest...

*spoilers!*

...where you infiltrate the Mythic Dawn hideout. On the way to the chamber I pickpocketed the Hot Potato back from the guy that takes all your stuff, and when they ask you to perform the sacrifice I just laid them all to waste. I released the sacrificial dude and he ran off. In the end I managed to follow him, killling everyone on the way with a rather handy fireball staff that someone dropped (I say dropped... I dropped them first). Unfortunately, by the time I'd got to the exit he'd just disappeared, and I checked everywhere. Quite annoying actually.
 
Ok, how the hell do you kill Willo the wisps? I have just got to level 11 and they are everywhere. Weapons don't work and fire takes tiny amounts of health away. They can kill very quickly though. Help?

Magical items work perfectly, takes a few hits, but they do work.
 
As above, Silver weapons/Spells/Enchanted Weapons can kill all Ghosties. There's a right pain of a quest i'm stuck on though "The Forlorn Watchman" takes you to a shipwreck and there's a ghost who casts a suck health spell on you, just can't kill him before i die :(

Bow and arrow, silver arrows, keep hiding from him after you've launched an arrow at him. Takes about 10-15 shots but does the trick.
 
Anyone done the quest with the nightwatch man?

And how do i find some good clothes damn it :( fed up of looking like a bum in my breeches in torn shirt lol
