****Official OcUK Fury X Review Thread****

Yeah, wouldn't want to hear the pump whine

Think you missed a spot there is enough room for another fan on the back of the CPU cooler lol

He's back.

Quite lets pin him down on the pump issues RMA problem some of us are having with retailers. :D

No need to pin! So, I can't say anything on here but I'd recommend checking out some hardware news sites for the latest word from AMD about the pump whine baloney. I'll link an article as soon as I find one for you.

Thanks!.

At the moment I've read one saying they will replace/accept RMA no problem & another from a retailer stating the opposite. If you are able to link the correct one that would be fantastic (I may even swap my cancel return to a replacement if the news is good!).

Mixed news doesn't fill anybody with confidence as you can understand, an official stance will go a long way to ease the mind of many buyers, it would also have prevented a number of pre-order cancellations.

Also to clarify, by pump whine baloney do you mean it's not an issue - or that it's a silly mixup (I can personally attest to the reports from having to send back a £509 tinnitus simulator). :p

Well you might want to point retailers to info about this "pump whine baloney" as some of them are refusing to replace affected cards as they don't consider it a fault.

"Both myself and my colleague Allan agree that if AMD can drop the price more towards £449.99 inc vat and get a fix for the coil whine and pump noise, we do feel the R9 Fury X has a logical place in the market."

I pretty much agree as it stands ATM.

Can OCUK please confirm their stance on pump whine. I reluctantly cancelled my pre order earlier this week after the various reports of issues and as far as im aware its still unclear who will or wont RMA.

Even worse we even have an AMD rep in this thread making very ambiguous remarks that arent helping one bit. Seriously AMD youre really making a mess of this launch.

I want one, i probably want 2. Stop peeing about(Amd). IF you are happy to RMA for excessive pump whine, then i'm happy to put an order back in.
