Never finished it, became too much of a grind doing the roof out of wool and then as far as I'm aware the server was deleted.

Those were the days.. I still remember the first time I saw your initial stadium, loved it. One of the best memories in MC mate
I'd love a totally vanilla MC server with all the old builds on it to explore lke Joachimville, your stadium and the insane spawn from the first couple of maps 
Maybe an additional archived based world with the best builds of Linktart in a viewable only state.
It is what I do best, no?

Looking good thus far, I may have a poke around at lunch if I get the time then if all goes well I may invite 2-3 people to hop on for a test to make sure everything is working as it should, well as close as working gets with Minecraft. Then if all that goes well we might have a live server in the coming days.

Vanilla 1.6.2 Test Server opens tonight!

Yay! Most of the server is looking okay. But we need some peeps to hop on to test Minecraft 1.6 features and to try and break bukkit (shouldn't take much). So feel free to hop on tonight for some fun

Hopped on last night for a short while. Although it's only a test world at the moment, I couldn't stop myself from mining for ore. Found some diamond horse armour in a chest which was nice, just need a horse now
.Thanks everyone for testing last night, everything seemed to go well! Was anyone having any lag? I seemed a bit twitchy at times but it could have been my internet connection.

Yes I was getting some, not too bad but just slightly delayed (when mining blocks).

seemed fine for me maxi for the short time i jumped on, seemed to be an issue with the spawns tho (not sure if intentional). The place where i spawned if i died was completely different to the place id goto if i typed /spawn.
Also the actual seed didnt look to interesting from the little i seen, altho tons of horses

Hmm that is odd! I'll look into the spawn thing to see if I can figure it out. As for the seed does anyone have any suggestions? That is the best world I have seen out of 4-5 I've tried. At least the spawn area has some flat land, jungle and forests to play with and if you venture out a little more there is some decent mountain ranges.
I spawned into the world just inside the edge of a jungle, near someone's small tree house. I think a largish flat area/plains would be best so people can build without having to cut loads trees or flatten big hills. Just like the spawn area on the last vanilla server. A decent sized island might also be good.
Is this vanilla server on hard mode?!
I've just been playing for ten mins or so and the zombies are way too tough! Once the sun had gone down, I was being chased around spawn by over a dozen who had noticed me for a long way away, much further than normal. There was also a baby zombie, which moves really fast, and was doing two full health damage per hit!
