creative is only handy if one want to test out a build but that is also what single player mode is for :D

also in 1.8 there will be a creative mode.

So for me i say remove creative from the server.
But that is just me :D
 
I would agree, remove it. It's barely used so if it's causing trouble then it's certainly not worth the hassle.

With 1.8 anyone can go to SP mode and play in creative if they want to build a test build (i.e. they wont have to install mods/invedit/toomanyitems/etc) so making test pistons/redstone will be a piece of cake anyway.

Now I'm not sure, I haven't played it since it was like 6 types of blocks and this looks much more than that. But that's more than I pay for most computer games.

So what's the verdict.
 
Found this web site with has some interesting information regarding the original game show.

It has information about how the players got into each zone and of the types if games that were in the rooms:

Also for the medieval zone we could have a bow and arrow game where you have to shoot targets/ holes in walls? to open a door/ trap door which contains the diamond and opens the room exit door? Could have water pouring into the room which is activated when the first target/ hole has been shot at successfully...what do you think? Is it do able?

Well will have to do some testing but this could work. I will copy this info into the Medieval section of the Group for :D

The archery game was one of the games off the original game show

it's epic buy it.

if you'd bought it in alpha it was under £8 and you got all future updates + dlc free, now i think as you're buying in beta dlc will not be free.

sadly there is no way i know off that an arrow can activate anything :(


although if we had a "hoast" he could watch if they got he arrow in the target press a button to simulate the arrow doing something.

also use the quote button :p

"Arrows and Circuits
While arrows shot at Switches or Pressure Plates will not trigger said inputs directly (unless fired from a dispenser onto a pressure plate), workarounds can be used to trigger circuits from a distance. For instance, a minecart can be used in such a way that destroying it with arrows releases the wooden pressure plate it is resting on, or a painting can be shot off a wall and fall onto a wooden pressure plate to activate it."

I think I will have a play around with the above when I get on tonight - see if I can work something out (forgot about the quote button lol!) :D

yeah i just checked there is no way the arrow will do what we would want.
So that would make it all manual.

I never played a Spectrum game that looks anything like this!! :).
If you don't like the look, you can get custom skins and texture packs which make is look much "nicer". The game-play, the most important part, is fantastic, a lot of fun (for us on here anyway)!

that does mean manual resets though for those rooms (so they'll need to be wired to a control room like the TNT racks for easy notification of replacement)
