I tried adding ars magica 2 and everything booted up into the world just fine. I haven't tried doing much with it yet though.

Its surprising that modular powersuits isn't in there, but there are plenty of other overpowered armour options for that not to be a big problem
 
If you use ars magica then there is a tiny bug which is easy to work around. When you write a spell you will get back a written book. You should be able to put this into the lectern of the spell creating machine, but there is a bug which means you can't do that straight away. To fix the bug simply sign the written book after you have written the spell and you will then be able to place it in the lectern.

Ps. does anyone know what the update to the DW20 pack was all about? I see its fixed the control config screen for people with large guis, but is there anything else?
 
I noticed Botania and Buildcraft are now on later version numbers didn't look any further.

Considering it's been ~8 months since i have played I can't seem to find energy conduits whats now the norm for RF power transfer?

well it added the Modular power suit armour to the game
and fixed the thaumic explorer crash bug i mentioned earlyer, so assume its those to and other bug fixes.
 
IIRC, dims are lower down on the FTB modpacks. Have you tried mining at about level 8?

e: I just hopped onto the DW server and found that there is no /spawn command. Is this by design?

ee: Also, no Roguelike Dungeons in this pack *sadface*

Ok, just tried logging on at home, onto the DW server, and I'm getting a couple of messages from the FTB console when I try to connect:

"Attempting connection with missing mods [list of mods]"
"Rejecting connection SERVER: [list of mods]"

Is this telling me that I don't have the mods installed/enabled or that I have some that need to be disabled?

I went through the DW download process as normal...
 
Sweet new server! Shame I'll be away from my pc from next weekend until early next year :( Still I'll jump on a bit this week and check out the new pack when I can. Appreciate the effort!
 
Finally found diamond! only 2 though, so not quite enough for a pick but still its a good start, for those who interested, i discovered it around level 4 so i think maybe the diamond is a lot lower then normal in this pack
