I was thinking of going back to java 7 seeing if that would change things, also sorry to be a pain and keep asking questions but do you know if optifine works with this version of direwolf? I managed get it work on the last version but then the server i go on switched to hermitcraft and couldnt get it work then

Shaders can also have problems with the botania mod. My friend used Sonic Ethers glsl shaders and found that minecraft crashed as soon as any sort of botania mana pool was in a loaded chunk. To fix that problem you could turn off botania's shaders somewhere in the botania config files
 
Sorry all had no internet for a while there

FT glad you got it sorted for this month tomorrow night i will do a catch up as i only got back into the country tonight.

If peeps still want to put funding through myself and have the server managed by me i am all for doing this i have registered with the hosting company.

If no no worries there. I should be more active now as most of the heavy projects in work have cleared up and there is a shuffle happening regards departments.

afraid java 7 is the only way to go minecraft does not work for me at all with java 8. It happened to me in the middle of playing MC too. had to roll back the java update and all worked fine since

Cool stuff - welcome back! I'm still happy to set up a DD.

I know Bukkit is a major stumbling block for upgrading the van server to 1.8 but Spigot seems like it may be a viable alternative? It seems to have similar plugins available - just a thought. It might encourage more players to the van server too :)

Haven't managed to start playing again as my computer's almost had it :'( still more than happy to contribute to server costs as I should be able to have it fixed soon.

Soon as it's sorted we'll see about doing that video and whatnot if you're still up for it Ham?
