***** Official OcUK Twitch List - Important Information in the Opening Post *****

Hi everyone,

The OcUK forum is family friendly and links to videos containing swearing aren't allowed.

If the Twitch sites in your signatures contain highlight videos with swearing then the links will have to be removed.

You may also wish to consider if a link is appropriate (in your sig. or in a post) if your live feeds tend to contain swearing.

Gazanimal please review the links in the OP, check if they contain swearing and remove if necessary.

I'll allow a couple of days for everyone to review their own signatures and links. After that they'll be checked and appropriate action taken.

Thanks for your co-operation.

I think I'll have to remove all the links as there's no way I can check every VOD for every single swear word that is on Twitch from the users. It's just not humanly possible.

Sort of defeats the object of the thread if we can't link to the users but as per the rules we will need to remove the links & if necessary everyone edit their signatures.

We may need to close the thread too, as even mentioning peoples usernames on twitch will mean people still see the VOD's with swearing etc.

I didn't really want it to come to this. My beef is the fact that i am (the only one) not allowed a link to my twitch profile because of swearing.

Now im not having a go by saying this :

The fact that the Overclockers twitch channel is hosting Valkia who swears about the same as me is beyond comical. Yet im the one who has had all links removed.

This isnt a go at Valkia at all. Its the principle that has annoyed me the most.

Pretty sure twitch also has maturity warnings if the channel is not PG.

One person should not be singled out here. Ive visited many of the links in the OP and profanity has been used on many of the casts.

Same should apply to everyone right?

This thread has helped me out big time on Twitch so thanks to those who have helped but unless someone is monitoring all our streams all the time I'm pretty sure this is a dead thread?

The nature of this forum doesn't allow swearing. If you posted or linked to a YouTube video containing swearing appropriate action would be taken.

Each of you are responsible for your own Twitch site and its content.

It is impossible to check every video on every site which is why some may get caught out and some not.

Unfortunately this seems to be a fairly widespread issue so more checking will have to be done if members can't or won't self moderate.

Everyone has a couple of days to sort things out. If it doesn't happen then it will be done for them.

I've removed all the links as I can't possibly (and the mod team know this) check every Twitch Live stream or VOD that is linked on someone's Twitch page.

Agree with theonejat that this thread is dead without links etc

I'd recommend closing it, before someone inadvertently gets a ban.

On another note - How far do you go with links to other pages? I could link to other links on Twitch which will probably contain swearing so do we not link at all to Twitch? Same for Newspapers, image hosting etc.

Thanks Gaz.

Rules are rules and I'm fine with that. I will continue to support people when possible, once again thanks to those who have also supported me in return :)

These are your own Twitch sites so you're responsible for what's on them.

I don't know if you spend much time in General Discussion but inappropriate videos and images, or links to them, are often removed.

Well, this all seems a bit sad. I understand rules are rules (I've been here long enough to know that) but this thread really was great in the fact we're all contributing to the forums, and well to each other really.

I've double checked and I'm following all of you guys who have posted in this thread. Thanks to all who have followed me so far (even though I've not properly started streaming yet - I'll be live soon), it's great to see that sort of camaraderie.

Hi, could you please clarify whether it is just links that are not allowed or does that also include the mentioning of someones twitch username?

Usernames without any form of link will be fine.

It's a balance between not destroying the thread and not making it too easy to access inappropriate content.

Well thats been settled - lets move forwards guys

Great fun last night, did 2 ish hours streaming tanks, then joined Cobra and did a hour of spin tires :) was intresting with lots on inuendo.....

Fifty Shades of Brown coming soon to twitch....

Phew well i'm glad some sort of resolution has been sorted. It would have been a damn shame for this thread to have been removed along with suggestions etc in our signatures. Im not streaming tonight so i'm going to pop into some streams tonight if anyone is doing any.

Ive seen a lot of you join me in my channel so i would like to thank you for coming in, Ive had a great time so far and hope the people that have joined, has had fun too :)
