***** Official OcUK Twitch List - Important Information in the Opening Post *****

Got a little programe called snip working - really nifty and great for my first on screen job that shows music on the channel.

@valkia nice overlay, very cool.

I'm not going cam yet, maybe later on but I'm happy to not be there.

I think I need to put a few more things on the chanel as well - set up tips and donations etc with pop up box etc sos till a work in progress

What's your system spec Frenzy?

Shadowplay is usually very minimal in dropping FPS. CPU encoding via x264 is another matter and can kick the crap out of your system if you're not careful.

Hey Gaz,

Spec is a 2600k i7 @ 4.4GHz
8GB ddr3
GTX970
Game at 1080p
70/20 fiber connection

I've been having a read up on it and it seems a second pc is the way to go... its just expensive..

With that spec Frenzy, Shadowplay should hardly interfere at all with your Frames Per Second. It's similar to my old rig, apart from the 970 (I have a 780).

Recording using Shadowplay on BF Hardline last night and I had very little FPS drop. There must be something else getting in the way tbh. Try a complete uninstall, Display Driver Uninstall and then re-install of the driver/Geforce Experience.

Agree with Gaz. Defo shouldn't need another rig to record/stream with specs like that.

Dropped you a follow Neoni.

To all those who are just starting out streaming, twitch can be difficult to get going on so don't give up or get demoralised, don't expect too much to begin with, I've been streaming basically every day since August for at least 4 hours a day and have only just built up a solid bunch of regulars, so stick with it if you can!

The problem i am worried about is not being able to stick to a constant schedule. I think i can only do a couple of nights a week for a couple of hours each. I cant wait to get started though, just hope its interesting enought to get viewers.

The main thing is, enjoy it!

So. The Talk Talk "engineer" is allegedly turning up today to do something between 8am-1pm. I really hope its sooner rather than later so i can get cracking.

Just out of intrest those who use OBS, what sort of settings do you use?

Streamed twice yesterday as well :)

Seem's the late night stream got the most viewers aswell - though I'm still about 42 off my goal for this year of 100 followers.

Going to also put a small challange on this year - see if I can stream for 2015 hours in 2015.

Also anyone have any ideas how I can add in a few addon's to my channel?

I think I can use notepad to put the simple hours streamed this year sort of thing down.

And how do we make a pop up for new followers?

Excellent news on the streaming front mate.

I used this for my little chat box and follower notification. Seemed reletively easy to use, although someone with more experience may suggest something better/easier ?

Also, I cannot seem to be able to see "DayZ" in my preview window. Ive messed about with multiple suggestions and read the faq but nothing is working :(

Brilliant thanks very much I'll play about with that today - hopefully get it working soon :)

Might put a image of some sort on so its like a picture but not - if thats makes sense?

Oh and re Day Z

I find with OBS if I run my games in window mode - then add a new secen named after the game I'm streaming, and add a new secen to that looking at the game window it shows fine

Im live on twitch now.

If anyone could just check out the stream to make sure its all ok that would be great.

Just loggin on my phone now will let you know

NB - looks good (Buffers from my end cause of 4g but looks fine and clear - no sound but i have it turned off cause of being in the office.

Well, 1st stream done and i really enjoyed it. Only had one watcher but it was nice to interact with him. I had my bitrate at 3000 but i have now lowered it to 2000. One thing the watcher did say was that my mic sounded slightly robotic. Not sure why though....

I used to stream a bit with my brother when we were playng War Thunder/WoW but when I got a sound card it messed up a lot of the sound play back so I stopped. May have to try and pick it back up with streaming HS and HoTs...that is assuming I can get the sound working.

My twitch is www.twitch.tv\woogieuk (I think) so ill see if I can get it working tonight and if my brother is around I will stream some Dying Light and possibly HS and if not I will stream some HoTs
