A decent platoon and cert and weapons advice. Not sure what Assault weapons to buy and does out Infiltrator get a SMG if so how many certs ? O and is it just me or is our max a metal coffin ?

I have heard the Saw is really the only heavy gun the NC has use for.

Also the NC Max is more anti-infantry than the others and...does it exceedingly well.

Hi all*I'm needing help with dpi settings etc for my heavy assault NC character*I'm using mainly the em6 and have night vision scope*My mouse is the steelseries mlg edition but want the right settings

*Any help much appreciated*

Well I'm a member of DL - Digital Legion so if you're 18+ you could always apply, run with us for a bit and see if you enjoy it? Mainly Uk and Scandinavian members, mostly do Infantry and Galaxy drops on bases but a little of everything. Also very happy to help you learn the game and answer questions. Digital-legion.com

The NC max is a very situational thing it's been nerfed a lot over several patches and is practically useless outside of 5-10 metres. You can make it more durable with a large investment of certs but I wouldn't bother personally. It's now so situational I feel certs are better spent on heavy assault.

There are three Smgs to choose from on NC. The cyclone is high damage per bullet, smaller magazine and slower rate of fire. The Blitz has lower damage per bullet but has a 50 round magazine and faster rate of fire. Then there is the recently released NS PDW which is somewhere in the middle and has slightly longer range. All will cost you 1000 certs I think. Go to VR training (from the continent selection terminal) and try them all out because really it's down to personal preference as to which you'll find best.

By assault weapons do you mean assault rifles for the combat medic or lmgs for heavy assault?

Thanks Qel Ill be sure to drop by and say hi, age wise I meet the 18 + and by assault weapons I mean light assault. Which ones are worth a buy. Though I dont mind the stock rifle seems well rounded, though a little slow firing in CQC. Leaves me open a lot of the time, I tend to use my ninja training quite a bit as LA and go silenced and jet pack my way behind people to give me the drop.

Really enjoying that style of play coupled with C4 its a pretty cool load out.

Nice, if you do decide to apply and get accepted you'll be a triallist for a bit but can play in our platoons, join Mumble etc and just see if it's for you really, and equally we can see if you fit with the community.

I play Light Assault quite a bit. For places like Towers, Bio Labs and smaller bases where close combat occurs often I tend to use a shotgun like the Mauler (semi-auto with tight spread, 750 certs + 100 for extended magazine) or if you prefer a Pump Action, the Claw. A carbine alternative would be the GD-7F get the advanced laser sight to tighten the cone of fire and just hipfire it (don't aim down sight) it costs 1000 certs + 200 for advanced laser sight and has one of the highest rates of fire in the game (845 rounds per minute compared to the Mercenary at 600) but obviously it's very easy to run out of ammo with. An SMG could also be a decent option too.

If I need a bit more range then currently I'm using the Razor GD-23 which is like a slower firing Mercenary but has higher bullet velocity and faster reload. The Mercenary is a decent gun and still worth using in this kind of situation though as you say it's well rounded so it's good at most things so a good starter weapon. Something like the GD-7F is good in close combat but not as good as the mercenary at medium to long range, so it's a case of which trade off suits you really.

Overall I highly recommend you go to the VR and just try everything out because for example in terms of Shotguns whilst I like the Mauler it has a tight spread so more accurate and slightly better range. But someone else might prefer the Piston (fully auto shotgun) because of the firepower, it all comes down to play style.

Thank for all the advice mate, So the VR training all guns are unlocked for me to try ? I've not yet tried the VR. Didn't even know about it till I read it in here the other day.

Yes, if you go to the terminal in the warpgate with the planet icon on it, the one where you change continents, at the bottom with be 'VR Training'. Once you're in there if you go to the terminals you can pick any weapon and try all the attachments for infantry and vehicles and test them on target dummies. Make sure you use the terminals in the VR to select things though, don't try spending certs or anything.

Hi guys, just installed PS2 and was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on getting started, should I try and join a guild? or is it better to play alone to start with? also any other tips u wanna give to to a newbie :)

The NS11C is a great long range gun for a LA when certed for range, worth checking out if you want a decent ranged option on the class.

Definitely join a guild (we call them outfits in PS2), the game is just so much more fun that way.

Which server and faction did you choose?

Congrats! :) But why rest now? The battle never ends! Get back on the front line! Don't play for titles or rank, play to kill kill kill! :D
