*** Official Planetside 2 Thread ***

While I normally don't get involved in the your-faction-is-way-OP arguments, I got to try out a zoe max last night.

Why god, why? No wonder I've been ****** off playing NC :)

And this was only the first level of it too :o

Its the speed boost that makes the least amount of sense I cant believe someone sat down at a production meeting and said "ok the vs max will activate this ability and will have greater damage and move really fast" and everyone else at this meeting went "wow that is a fantastic idea!"

I mean the NC ability is only really good against infantry (and evens that's debatable) yet the VS and TR ability helps them with armour and air as well, I was using the TR max and was shocked just how fast the aa reloaded when deployed!

Not sure if you heard but INI Elite had a match against Future Crew.

The match was 3 rounds, 2 being Infantry only (No Maxs) at Tawrich Tech Plant with the objective to hold the Tech Plant. Second round we would switch bases.

Third round was with everything and we switched to Esamir due to pubs breaking things.

The match ended up as 2 - 1 to INI Elite winning.

Round 1

Round 2

Round 3

I was one of the Medics with the UBGL. :p

Ps2 Scrims 24vs24 player man I couldn't think of anything less pointless. The game really needs some proper supported clan wars with a few of the TR clans going up against the NC and Vanu.

I'd say the game needs some real balancing before any of that holds any weight. Though. As its nerfing of a lot of things have made them next to useless. While the new toys are all OP. But i guess they have to sell stuff some how.

Simply amazing job with the optimisation. On maximum graphics, smoothing off and shadows low I am 60-100 fps and it is glorious along with the darker nights. I haven't played Battlefield 4 in nearly a week and will likely just uninstall it now. Really not happy with the new mag and scythe camo coverage, really destroyed all of my purchased camos.

Anyways, for anyone who dismissed this game due to performance issues, re install now! (and join Vanu on Miller)

The only thing that increases with levels is damage output I think, so your level 1 is pretty much the same as a maxed ZOE. I went on a 56 kill streak last night with my VS max using charge, kinetic armor 5 with ZOE I usually die much quicker.

Guys join NC on Miller :)

Yeh I watched that, fair play as you guys were playing late at like 2am or something. INI are probably the best outfit on Miller to be honest, closely followed by DwG for VS.

I never really suffered frame rate issues even in big fights before.
Some of the "pretty" has been taken out (gpu physxs which I only just got stable, lower poly counts and lower textures)

Basically the nerfed the games looks to make it run better for everyone.

I kind of like the new UI look but I'm getting some strange issues with hit direction indicators and sound and Smoothing seems to lock you at 60fps.

I will reserve judgement as its patch day and that's never good in a SOE game.

Anyway you guys still going on about ZOE? I've said it before its only good for giving me XP as an engineer when stupid randoms use it in Biolab fights. Yes they can run faster but that's the only real boost cause with dual cosmos or blueshifts its 1 less bullet to kill a HA, 1 bullet.

My FPS is a lot more stable. There is smoothing auto enabled now, so you might see lower FPS if you were getting above 60 before (mines locked to 60)

You can disable it and see what FPS you get.

Overall I found it a big improvement on my machine 4Ghz / 670. Stays at 57FPS constantly now even in big battles on high/ultra.

Previosly I could be anywhere between 15 and 120 fps depending on where I was stood, what i was doing and how many players there were.

Deleted my user options.ini. Let PS2 auto detect settings for my machine. Switched a few up a notch or two myself. Sat at 59fps all night.

no difference in fps for me quite the opposite actually. the patch has broken something with the crossfire profile so experiencing lots of stuttering.

The game is so CPU dependent I would just disable one of the 7950's. I think they are still working on crossfire support in this patch, I know they were working on it still in the last few days of public test server testing.
