*** Official Prey (2017) Thread ***

Hmm, having read what the DLC is about, its not really what I was hoping for, especially not for £13, which seems pricey for a DLC to me. Was hoping for a continuation of the story but maybe that will come in Prey 2

I bought this yesterday and having nothing but problems with it.

I would like to use a controller via steam link but it just doesnt recognise my xbox one controller (wired) at all, no problems with any other games on steamlink.

Playing at my PC the game looks to launch in big picture mode, which seems strange.

I'm also getting some crazy controller drifting too in game with my wired 360 pad whilst gaming at my PC - no issues with any other games.

I would search the thread but went back one page and hit some spoilers.

Can anyone help please or do I need to play it sat at a desk via mouse and keyboard? :(

i just went to controller config on steam, then browse configs and selected the arkane one it sorted the controller issues for me. no idea why your getting the drifting though.

The latest patch on Steam overrides xinput which is needed for Xbox controllers and instead uses Steam’s API. You are right in that it launches with the Big Picture APIs too. I gave up in the end and sat with my keyboard and mouse balanced on my knees to play.

I managed to get rid of the controller drift by going into the settings for the pad and increasing the dead zone on the sticks, not 100% removed the issues but it's a lot better now.

Still unable to play via the steam link though

i am playing this atm via a link with a xbox one controller

Did you have to do anything in particular to make it run or did it work from the off?
Do you have a pad plugged into your pc that you are streaming from?

I'm trying to narrow down where the problem is but havent got anywhere at the moment.

The right stick of my pad works via steam link, as in it moves the cursor when it first boots up but the other stick or buttons dont

i have it connected via BT to the link and it worked from the off, not sure if i ticked the controller support box beforehand on the PC, but there is a controller setting in big picture mode to click on the box for xbox/ps4 support..
