*** Official Prey (2017) Thread ***

Bit of a bump but have I ****** up? Gone into deep storage and I'm locked in can't get back out, games tend do this when near end, thing is I got some side quest that are before this area I missed, does it let me back out?

I have constant hard drive activity when playing game(texture streaming ?), every time i move in game my hard drive is like streaming textures i think constantly, have to put on low textures to stop it, but then game looks bad, and i should not have to, as i have well over recommended specs, 16 GB DDR4 and skylake 6700K @ 4.5GHZ for starters, and im only playing at 1080P, have over 100 AAA title games and not one causes me this problem, any fix ? cheers

I'm running mine off an SSD so I wouldn't know, but it's running flawlessly for me in any case. Have you tried doing a re-check of the game files in Steam?

Yeh only installed it yesterday, but i had already checked the files, all ok, thought games stream from video ram not the hard drive anyway, dont get it on any recent demanding games either, strange, oh and when i put testures on very high i never go below 60fps either, just really loud hard drive activity.

It happened soon as i entered through main door, Alex Yu, said ive locked you in,

Yes but play through it and you'll be fine.
You eventually jettison out through the escape pod.

You need to clear the blocked door to get to the pods so you can either use leverage 3 to lift the blockage or use recycler charges to clear the blockage. Failing that you can use the gloo gun to make some steps to clime over the wall, or you can climb up to the pipes on the ceiling and just jump down the other side of the wall

This is one of things I absolutely loved this game, you truly were free to play your way, I used the gloo gun to access loads of places.

So whilst I'm loving this game I'm getting to point I feel it's dragging on now for sake of it, just scanned the coral and now dhal has come into the station, it's starting to feel like it's last chapter is this the case?

You’ve not got a huge amount of time yet, but I had that same lul. It gets really good again so stick with it.

I will do since I felt I was close, some of back tracking abit tedious, and if wasn't for gloo gun being fun and mimic stuff to get into otherwise locked doors it wouldnt be as much as fun as has been

Finished it last night, opted for killing January, I maybe thick but I don't quite get the ending still, seems very open to interpretation

My take on it was that you're really playing as one of the baddies (a Phantom Typhon) who has been injected with human neuromods and is playing through virtual reality if you like (the Looking Glass software) as a human (Morgan) who seems to have been dead a while. The Earth has already been taken over by the Typhon (presumably in a hostile action) and Alex Yu (fat guy) is trying to find a way to perhaps make peace with the Typhon. Or something.

It was a fantastic game though.

That is kinda how I thought except that I was alive but changed during the game and it flashed forward so to speak as station was typhoon free as null wave seemed to work..
