*** Official Prey (2017) Thread ***

I can't see a resemblance to Bioshock either.

Starting to get into it now, those repair kits you find can be used to repair stuff, so i went back to where you get the gloo gun from, and i repaired the gravity lift thing, so i got up to the 2nd floor :D, now finding loads of stuff to pick up, but running out of space :( :p

Oh, and i managed to kill matey! :D

Haha see, you will overcome..

Yeah it's worth getting the inventory upgrade. I have one level of it

Its annoying when you have to work it out for yourself, only just discovered i can hack the doors now via the padlock in the corner (if ive got the skill level for it), so finally managed to get into the security room, where you pick the gloo gun up from that dead guy.

Now trying to find my way into the Morgue in Psychotronics.

Great game once you get into it, im 20+ hrs in now, and really enjoying it, just doing all the side missions for now, ive not bothered with any of the other neuromods (like turning yourself into a cup or whatever, like the mimics, but i may do at some point), just done the one that lets you grab objects with your mind, as needed it to grab a neuromod that i couldn't get to :p, just upgraded my shottie, pistol, leverage, and hacking a bit. :D

The mimic ability (turn yourself in to a teacup) was a bit of a let down for me. It was one of the first things I chose but I found very little use for it in the game.

Quite a few of them don't look to be useful tbh, only done the mind one, so i could grab a neuromod that was under a hole in the floor, that i couldn't fit thru, so had no way of getting it.

I don't see the need to boost the health either, or use the food and that to replenish it, as ive got 2x operators in the Trauma Centre that fix me up to full health when i get low. :D

Thats actually a brilliant mod and lets you totally do away with Heavy Lifting to get into rooms with objects in the way, just turn into a book and hop through the gaps that most 'off limit' places will have :D

Just picked this up for £10.99 on cdkeys, seemed like decent value given what I've heard. Looking forward to finding time to play it... Mack from Worth a Buy (YouTube) seemed to really love it and he tends to think along similar lines to me.

Well yeah I did suspect that I was thinking creatively enough - I do remember using it to access a few areas but also remember trying to get in to some places where it seemed it should have been possible but wasn't. Still it's a very cool idea in a very cool game. Loved all of it.

Bit late to the Prey party but have a question.

Finding the corpses in each section. Do you have to keep going back to the security room and choosing each name, getting the objective update and then go off and find the body?

I've noticed some of the names have ticks by them - does that mean they are corpses already found?

Seems a bit of a laborious side mission.

I wondered the same thing, but nope. No need to return to the office / comp. Once they are found, it automatically marks them off.

So nearly finished here but ran into a problem.

I stopped dahls tech operator and Alex said to come save him in the Arboretum and when I find them Alex is on the floor and I stun Dahl.

After this the game goes black and just stops.

Gone back to an earlier save so hopefully all ok

Can anyone help? i've been doing this so long it feels bugged.

Trying to do keys to the kingdom. have my plans but not the ones in alexs office
station is on lockdown until the reactor gets rebooted, but I need to get to the arboretum. GUTS is locked, all (?) airlocks are locked, how do I get from Cargo Bay to Arboretum? i've been trying and cant find a way

One thing about this game, some bits are great, others not so much. I dont like how there are so many icons, objectives, maps, etc, EXCEPT for this one.. Either have the whole game not holding hands, or every mission, not just leave important info out. he knows every item on the minimap, but once outside of the station, a zillion plain green blobs with 'multiple objectives' as the only indicator.. and no map for outside so I cant tell where i'm going...

Also just getting totally stuck because of lack of materials and trying to kill multiple phantoms and mimics with just a wrench sucks a bit

Hmm im not sure, my memory is foggy on how to progress. When outside have you visited the parts of the station that have decompressed? Im sure i remember having to do something outside to gain access to parts of the station inside.

yeah, the hardware labs airlock breach. But it means I can get to the hidden area inside, but not from the outside? I've asked on the steam discussion page to see if anyone can help
