!!**Official RAGE Thread**!!

It doesn't need SLI.

My GTX 470 can run this game at 1920x1200 with 4xAA with on 25-45% of it's total processing power.

Unless you have SLI 8800 GTX's then I can't see why anyone would need SLI support.

Im just wondering as surely it should run in sli mode as every other game works for me in Sli:confused::confused:

Games only run in SLI mode once Nvidia release a SLI profile it.

Either in new driver updates or hotfixes for current drivers.

Unless there's something in the game engine that prevents SLI from working properly.

I seem to remember Shift 2 needing the developers to patch the game before SLI would work properly.

Cheers for that just hope its soon so as to save disabling and enabling sli all the time;)

You can force it for most games through the control panel. Very handy for indie titles and games that don't always get the same level of card vendor support as AAA titles.

Unfortunately Rage runs a bit of a dog if you force it. Apparently it's because of how the transcoding works, which is also why the SLI supporting driver is taking a bit longer for Nvidia. Got a mate that works for them who says it shouldn't be too much longer.

I just completed it, I watched the ending. This is the biggest WTF moment I've ever had playing a game to its completion. Guys don't bother, just uninstall the game now.

Awww, no way. It can't be worse than DNF surely? At least DNF had a semi-decent way to end a subpar game.:p I haven't bought RAGE yet, but hoping too soon.

It's probably as bad, maybe slightly worse.

To be honest the last few hours I did just force myself to play. If I didn't I would have uninstalled it and never completed it. I'm a bit OCD about making sure I complete games I own :P

LOL, Rage is absolutely miles better than DNF. Absolutely no contest.

I would say its slightly better, not miles. My above comments were about the ending though. Seriously, what can be worse than a crap ending. Think about it.. something worse...

Cant be more of a WTF moment than the ending to Hard Reset. now THAT was a wtf moment of colossal proportions

I'm struggling to be honest. Just completed the water contamination/sewer part and have to go back to the doctor and I'm really now nonplussed with the game. Utterly disappointed. I've read some comments that this is a light a midst the recent dross of shooters that have been churned out. I'm not sure I agree.

It has some _very_ occasional atmospheric sound effects, but the neither the graphics or game mechanics complement them.

Hohum, at least it allows me to have 14 save slots. Generous.
