Pretty awesome game, I finished it last night. The shooting sequences are incredibly fun if not a little too easy. The guns get better as you progress and unlock the different ammo types. Crossbow with Dynamite bolts will leave you with a big smile on your face :D The vehicles handle well and the races give you something else to do in between missions. I would recommend this if you are looking for something that is more than just a shooter. My only complaint is that it's not long enough!

Oh and the graphics with everything maxed at 1080 are pretty jaw dropping too!

Liking this game more, but shame it performs so badly for me. Only get 15-30 FPS now for some reason, and the texture popping is really ****ing me off.

My GPUs are a bottleneck yes, but I shouldn't be seeing such poor performance :(
 
SLI won't be working, but if your playing below 1920x then one GTX260 should manage 60fps (if SLI is being forced on this may be why your seeing low performance). Even at 1920x one GTX260 should manage 40+fps worst case.

Its probably SLI thats the issue.

I know there are xfire issues.

You would probably get better performance disabling SLI.

OK I sorted it. You were right, SLI is the issue - I had it on! Turned the SLI mode to "single card" for the Rage.exe profile in the nVidia CP, forced triple buffering and VSync and I'm on 60FPS constant now. Texture is sooo much quicker now - I can see it still but they load in a fraction of the time.

Strangely enough, I can run 8x AA ingame at 60FPS. As soon as I up it to 16x, the popping is back and the FPS drops to 25-30.

I would like a patch to simplify weapons, toggle zoom,key binding etc..

I got a 360 controller for the driving but getting used to all the buttons is a nightmare :D
 
Regardless of the gfx issues I've just finished it.

Last autosave timed as 8 hours 45 mins, and I am kind of glad it ended because i was completely bored throughout.

It seems like a cross between Metro and Borderlands, yet doesn't measure up to either imo. Very disappointed in the game over all.

Authority Heavy vs Fists on Nightmare

Fists emerge victorious. They have an insane amount of hp, ran round the corner throwing a wingstick, knocks off his helmet and makes him stumble. Luckily he doesn't try and shoot you and instead settles for batting you away with his gun. Took 3 or 4 bandages and about 10-15 seconds of punching but he went down.

Pulse Shot is pretty good actually. If it hits the body it tends to shock them with the EMP, if it hits the head it 1 hit kills Authority Soldiers.
 
As someone mentioned earlier dynamite bolts are pretty fun, combined with sentry bots for some funny situations. Wish I'd fraps'd it earlier.

The reactions from the soldiers that you hit with them are really disappointing though. Just gone through ytiC daeD sticking a Dynamite Bolt in the head of every sniper and the most you really get is a slightly annoyed 'Oh ****'. You just attached and explosive bolt to their forehead! They should be shouting horrible things about your mother not acting like they just stubbed a toe!
 
I can live with the low textures in parts, the lack of content is worse and the ending- geeeeezzzz dont get me started (I completed it days ago but it has taken me so long to get over the sheer shock of how short it is).

Glad I decided to wait for this to come down in price before buying it.

Seems to be worth £15 rather than £25 from what people are saying about it.
