they said modding is in from the start for pc users :P

just gotta type something in the console and you get access to all the tools they used :D should be epic and mean we get some awesome mods and the odd total conversion

some previews out now
"Some of the navigation for the game was confusing at first, for example, changing weapons – rather than cycling through weapons with the Y button you hold the RB which brings up 2 circular menus. The one on the right shows what weapons are available which you select with your right stick, depending on what weapon you select the left HUD shows you what ammo type can be selected which by the left stick. However, after doing this a few times became quite intuitive, the only downside is that you can’t move whilst doing this so you have to make sure you’re hidden."

"While adopting the run and gun method I was quickly met with a resuscitation mini-game. Here you can use a combination of the analog sticks and triggers to bring yourself back to life. If you complete this mini-game then your character will let out an electric charge which will kill anything near you, allowing you to gather yourself. This was a nice change from constantly having to reload from last check point."

HERPDERP!

So it has a built in 'mother' feature? "Its ok dear, you didn't fail, you're my special little boy, now up you get, we wouldn't want you to think you need to improve now would we"

Least its better than Bioshocks version where you dieing has no consequences at all... but only marginally ><

It was posted a while back and I'm also not a huge fan of it but to be honest it's not actually a terrible system:

* The most likely alternative would be use of quick save/load, leading to no actual loss of stuff

* Check points are fine I guess but they're not actually that suitable for this kind of game imo. They don't really fit in with the 'fluff' that well.

* As you say, BioShock's implementation was stupid. It made more sense to kill yourself over and over rather than actually stay alive when in difficult fights.

I agree with FT, it's a different solution to an old problem. I wouldn't call it mothering exactly.

I've never been keen on quick/save load as it's easily abused to try out different scenarios. Check points can be annoying if they're spaced too far apart, and pointless if they're too close together.

Maybe not the best solution but I can't say I'm bothered by it. I intend to do as little dying as possible tbh. :p

and rages doesnt?

most efficient way to kill stuff will be to get everything chasing you die, die finish the minigame quick boom everything dies

I doubt everything is going to be stood around you whilst you try to do the minigame. If it is then yeah, that's dumb. Keep in mind that those are the words of a reviewer probably playing the game in a low difficulty mode on a console...

We also don't know what you lose for doing that. It could be that the electrical surge burns out a ton of your parts/ammo/whatever.

The minigame thing was brought up in a preivew posted yonks ago, apparently its just now considered news?

Some of us saw it a while ago yes. Not everyone did though and as they've just found out about they have questions/thoughts they wanted to share.

It doesn't seem that hard to work out?

Well the fact it can kill people was in one or two vids, don't really see an issue with it. I think the co-op vid showed it in action.
