!!**Official RAGE Thread**!!

I can't bear to let any of them go.

From PC to gamecube to Ps1 2 and Xbox... sentimental value more so than any other reason.

Yeah. I still have my old Spectrum +3 (at my father's house) and would probably still have my SNES if I'd not lent it to someone as a kid and never gotten it back.

I can understand the attraction towards keeping things :)

One odd thing is the lack of graphical options, you can select your resolution and AA... that's it?

Apparently it auto detects most your setting, and foes a pretty good job of it. You'll be able to fiddle with the cfg and ini files if you wanted to force settings I'd have though.

Physical media? Disgusting :p

I'd agree normally, but Steamworks prices usually force my had. :p

Really wanted the making if DVD as well. :) I've got same problem as LeJosh, I hoard disks and consoles. :(:p

Smelled this turd a mile off

Probably the troll poop you're stood in.

Some people are seriously unforgiving when it comes to new IPs.

If it's not a deeply entrenched IP then it's destined to fail attitude is horrible. :(

Another negative comment posted in a thread without any intelligent argument or information to validate the original statement...

Sure, everyone can voice their own opinion but at least say something to back it up or explain your thoughts / feelings?

Seriously so weird, on my mates PC - the option of play is there click it and Steam just freezes. Seriously doing nothing a decryption box has not even come up :/

Well my 5850 has glitches with the new 11.9 driver, reverting to 11.8 (which has the odd missing texture).

Has to be said this is the first time I've had any issues with glitches in games.

Aparently, RAGE cant find the VRAM on some ATI cards which is causing it to bascily load every texture, every time. So if you look away from an area its textures go, then look back, they have to be found again, which is of course causing massive slow downs. Seems to be confined to ATI gpus only atm though, the BF3 nvida beta drivers seem to help.

Carmack is saying to update drivers atm

Ah!

I get that problem with previous and brand new driver.

Oddly it doesn't cause any slowdown, if it'd reloading you'd have thought it would kill the game.
