!!**Official RAGE Thread**!!

They did play test it. The game runs fine on an XBox and a PS3.

"There's a noticeable degree of pop-in as you sprint into new locations, alleviated somewhat by installing to your hard disk but disruptive all the same."

"On the graphical side, RAGE is stunning. It’s easily among the best looking console titles, carried both by the technically impressive id Tech 5 engine and the great artwork. It doesn’t fare very well on 360 if you do not install the discs, however. Textures do not load properly, and you’ll see plenty of pop-in, so make sure you have the hard drive space free to install both discs. On PS3 you’ll also have a mandatory install."

The pop in is pretty much unavoidable due to megatexture, plus the specs of the consoles don't help matters.

Looks like creating the cache directory helped reduce the texture pop-in effect a lot.

edit: Taking a break as the game is giving me a splitting headache :/ Will have to see if I can fix that before I play the game properly.

The animations do look really good so far in the vids ive watched, enemies actually reacting to shots instead of being sponges untill they hit the death trigger to start a canned death animation.

I get motion sickness/headaches when playing some FPS games. Usually this is fixed by fov tweaks or turning off annoying blur modes/etc.
Never have suffered these effects but can understand the annoyances for those that do. Some have nausea with head bob in games.

So another borderlands/Dead Island induced game :p

Thing is FrenchTart I saw the trailers to this game and gameplay trailers there looks to be some sort of swaying or motion to your walking and instantly I thought that's going to make me ill. Hence why I haven't purchased it

If this is not fixed by friday i shall hold off the purchase. Low res textures i can live with but the glitch in the texture loading is bad imho.
