Indeed, barmyllama. It's been in development for so long and the focus has been all on the greatness of the engine. For the final release to ship in such a wonky state is just plain weird.

There must an interesting story to be told about how this was allowed to occur.

Just as a matter of point. It's id as in hid without the h. Not ID as in Identity.

Totay forogt pre orderd this, Just got a charge email from shopto. £23.99 for the anarachy edition,

Thing is i have literally no time for this game with f1 2011 fifa 12 and Deus Ex,

Plus it seems quite broken right now, might send it back

Not just lazy developers - lazy users. Both allowed to be lazy by the progression of hardware. That's how computers continue to get faster, but seem to get slower

Working perfectly for me on GTX 470 at 1900x1200 with the Nvidia BF3 beta drivers

Environments and graphics look stunning, reminds me heavily of Bulletstorm with some slight RPG elements added in.

I seem to be reading less issues for texture pop in from those with nVidia cards, and those with AMD hardware should be fine since the new driver is up.

New recently uploaded driver appears to be fixing a lot of problems for many people. Give it a go

I'm curious to find out how much difference it really makes, especially after seeing those screenshots a page or so back :eek:

I've read that to improve nVidia performance you can try forcing V-sync with buffering through Global settings in nVidia cp, though instead you might want to use a more up to date driver (like the BF3 beta) first.
