You're still getting the contents of the collectors edition though, it's just called something different on your invoice.

The thing is it should be (and probably is) illegal for them to remove anything from the product. Ive also contacted Bethesda about this to see what was supposed to be in the uk collectors edition, seems to vary by region.

They were still advertising the full collectors edition contents yesterday, and were until long after my order had been dispatched. You were telling people that they wouldn't be getting any collectors edition items and complaining at the price. Unless you can predict the future, you had no idea the comics would be missing.

Gerard, I'll be sending my own emails, but could you post if you hear anything back from either party? :)

Almost an hour of searching and ive found 2 other people with the same problem, 1 is on a I7 rig with SLI 560's the other is some random rig, and they have been ignored, both of them asked yesterday on the steam forums..Not looking good for me :(

Apparently i dont know how true it is, but possible something to do with the game not seeing the Vram, thus causing the CPU to do all the work...I tried again 10 mins ago and my GPU was at 0% while the CPU was at 100% on both cores again..sigh.
 
Turns out i found my Comic...its in the Second dvd case, yes this Comic is the size of an instruction manual. The description on the game site said "Comics" so im waiting to hear back if theres meant to be more than one or just an error on their part. I expected the comic to be actual comic sized, not instruction manual sized to say the least :(

The uk collectors edition seems pretty pish compared to what others are getting, one edition contains a poster of the landscape and it looks very nice. :(

I had a pretty good idea since they had cancelled the original order and changed it to the Anarchy Edition which didn't include said items. This is why I posted.

I don't give a monkies about the price. I wanted the Collectors Edition and was peeved that they swapped the order to the Anarchy Edition without letting me know. Yes the Anarchy Edition was £24.99 at the time but I like you didn't want that. At least they could have charged £24.99 but they didn't even do that.

I got a Hazro 27" to play this on, (the "C" Glass One), once I found out I couldn't use my 120hz TN Monitor in 3D for RAGE. It's nice to have the option of both, though the wife's not a fan of the "clutter".

I bought the comics a while ago from FP, they were bigger than that, must be special versions with the game?

Yes I read your post after posting. Still applies not what I expected and I'm glad I cancelled. Suffice to say Game have handled this pretty badly. Didn't even bother to reply to my email so I won't be dealing with them again, ever :mad:

Same here, i expected the larger box with more...well Comic sized Comics, the uk collector edition is a farce compared to what other regions are getting unfortunately :(
 
Sorry to hear of your woes but boy am I glad I cancelled mine now.

PS If you do a search for Rage Special Edition on a certain well known auction site, someone is doing the edition with the Wing Stick , T Shirt etc included.
 
Even the making of disc is a bit lol worthy, most of what im seeing is interviews that have already been posted online over the last few months. :rolleyes:
 
If your PC can't run at 60fps the engine disables vsync for the duration of the time your machine is struggling. It's a console style approach.
I read some talk of the appearance improving when the drivers implement WGL_EXT_swap_control_tear. I believe this handles such situations in a less jarring manner.

Until then you have to suck it up or force vsync on in your driver control panel.

What good would forcing vsync do? The game is already solid @ 60.

The tearing is constant so perhaps it's something that will be ironed out with drivers. I'm running on a 980x/6990 with the Rage drivers so I wouldn't think it's performance related.

Vsync removes tearing so that's the good it would do.
