tsk..... A real shame to hear of this.... well... this really poor performance - sounds like they rushed the patch out of panic and its made it worse for some.

Glad I'm minimum 6 months behind on my gaming in some ways.

I say kudos to id software, at least they are actively working with AMD/Nvidia to fix all reported issues. Some companies would most likely say suck it and see for 6 months. I think they've reacted very quickly, and I'd be more annoyed if they did nothing.

Cheers just found it! Gave game a quick go didnt go too far but from what ive noticed all the tearing has gone completly

Very playable now some of textures still look turd but i think thats just partly the game tbh

It's unfortunate there seems to be quite a few problems for people because I am enjoying it. Played about 7 hours so far of SP & MP and its fun.

The landscapes looks brilliant, good old fashioned shooter with big baddies to fight.

Had the screen tearing and pop in. Using the patch and everything fine now. Still needs a high res texture pack though to satisfy us.

Would like to get this, but sounds like there are many problems with it.

Sounds like a lot of the problems have been resolved by the updated drivers and patch.

Tried disabling forced vsync and/or triple buffering? Tried the safe_mode tweak?

It does. Try it out. Came across it on the Bethesda forums. Game looks very good and runs well. No crashes etc. Blurry textures still there though.

Well patch fixed things for me, shame I was already just about to start the last mission, which I have to say was a letdown in the way it all ended.

thats what DLC is for...half a game now half when they release it at cost later.

Weird, texture pop-up has gone but I now get a grey 'clouded' screen every few steps underground and every so often above ground. It's like a filter that covers the entire screen, you can't see through it...

I'm not surprised about the problems with this game at the moment. You have to remember it's not just a new game, but also a completely new engine. Many of the issues will not be the game itself but the graphics drivers. It can take months for AMD and Nvidia to really start getting the best performance and bugs out of a new engine.

AMD drivers in particular are appalling with many new engines. It often takes them months to sort things out.

I try not to buy DLC as I know its a rip off.

I only get DLC for things with a online component that I will get years of gameplay out of like BC2 and of course BF3.
