***Official Reading 2009 Thread***

What sort of music you into???

Anything really, although probably not stuff that's too heavy.

Last time I went was 2007 and acts that I remember as being pretty good to watch then were silversun pickups, subways, seasick steve, bloc party, plus so many more :)

Looking at the list this year so far I think I'm looking forward to seeing mad caddies, florence and the machine, blackout, plus most of the big-ish bands.

More interested though in finding decent acts on the smaller stage, what was the carling stage in 2007 was really good as it was a pretty small venue.

So just been looking at the lineup, who are people recommending from the smaller stages to go and see, the more relatively unknown bands?

Just listening to a few tracks on youtube and liking some of them, Dananananaykroyd sounding quite nice :)

If Punk is your thing, then The Liviing Daylights should fit the bill.

I'm mates with the drummer and guitarist, and although I haven't actually heard their current stuff - their old bands were top notch a few years ago, and seeing as how they've just done a European tour I presume they're not too bad ;)

Anyone know anyone who needs a early bird ticket ?

Rubbish. I just bought 3 of these of the bay for £20 a pop.

I'm only going on the Saturday for the dance tent, mainly for MSTRKRFT and Deadmau5 - but looking forward to seeing Chase & Status again (and then their DJ set afterwards) and also Vitalic as what I've heard is real good.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Qemists as I keep hearing mixed reviews about them, and also Chipmunk as I think he's not all that bad (:o)

Mixhell sound fun too actually.

It probably is, but I read that each night in the Duracell tent (I think it's Relentless this year though) after the headliners finish there are a couple of resident-type DJs and then a main act. Pendulum on the Friday, C&S on the Saturday and someone else on the Sunday.

It was somewhere on the Leeds fest forums iirc.

Got my coach ticket to go from Exeter from See Tickets. However the departure time states 6.30M. Not AM or PM, just M.

Is there anywhere to look to check if it's AM or PM as their phone lines are crammed right now.

Well i am 100% sure i ordered leeds tickets, but somehow Reading arrived...:S

I was going to sell them anyway because i aint going, but do you think i have reason to request a refund if i find my order confirmation and it says Leeds?

My ticket arrived while I've been off on hols, though it looks like I ordered two. I'm now phoning eveyone I know to find out who I supposedly bought this one for!

mixhell should be good but only if its a live set. easily one of the best drummers in the world

MSTRKRFT = total garbage. theyve sold there souls to the trendy LA kids who you normally see in horrid american teen films and 90210 , OC, the hills type programs. rubish and put no effort in whatsoever. its actually sickening

Vitalic is where its at. la rock 01 live will no doubt be my highlight of the weekend . and really looking forward to more of his new material too
