you can only play from level 1 as your higher toons will be coin locked, so you will not be able to tansfer them over to the beta server.

It doesn't matter how many subs they have as long as it brings in sufficient bank. Truth is not every game requires to be on the level of WOW to be profitable. Trion seem to be doing pretty well at the moment which as you say is good news.
I like Rift, and have decided to head back in. Fancy playing a Holy Trinity MMO again. Got a 50 Cleric and Mage so will be fun to try out the new souls.

Don't get me wrong I like GW2, but miss some of the more traditional MMO points.

I was the same and WoW died a quick death this is keeping my iinterest more and looking forward to the new expansion

I think you'll find the two are related, so yes it does matter and that was the point of the post, they say they make sufficient money on 25k users.

Yes they are related, but what I meant was that there is no reason to discuss subscription numbers based upon speculation.

I don't think he did, he said Trion themselves have said they can remain profitable on 250k users. When taking about if they will need to change strategy, surely this is relevant?

me too mate... I was playing a bit over the weekend during the free event, didn't do any of the new stuff, just had a look and took a ride around Meridian etc.
new souls are not that exciting though!
I'll be taking a peak into the Dimension stuff soon as possible and I'll report back in here.
I imagine you might need an abundance of plat coin for a lot of it, someone mentioned new mounts 200% speed for 1k plat

Been back in to this levelling a rogue ready for storm legion, just done all the patches (about 3.5gb - thank god for fibre optic!) and cant connect to the server.
Knew it would happen, but looking forward to when its playable as there seems to be a mass of new stuff to explore - shame there's only 10 extra levels though.
They have made the world many many times larger, but only given you 10 levels to get and all of the new zones are 50-60?
Still - can't wait to get on! Anybody played it yet? Good?
