Yeah, Try custom, ryzen profile is as a separate thing to tick during installation. Not sure if it gets installed with express.
It does.

Doing a clean windows install now anyway. OS drive came from an Intel build and while most everything seemed to be working ok my mouse and keyboard software (corsair) was going haywire. It does.

I think it's a bug already reported to AMDNot sure what I'm doing wrong here but every time I download the chipset drivers all I get is a Radeon gpu driver install screen.

Have you checked custom install to see option with ryzen power plan? Like others confirmed it should be ticked already but at least with custom you see what's gonna install.
Weird. I didn't get anything like that. No splash screen just an exe and a request to restart
what do you mean by the middle option? I have installed the 17.10 drivers but all I get is the AMD Radeon installation suite.Select the Middle option 17.10) when installing the Chipset drivers and express install.
Cheers bud. I'll give it another whirl this evening though I'm pretty sure that's what I did.
Yes, that's possibly the worst installation I have seen, ever, for lacking clarity!
Especially me!!I agree, it is confusing for a lot of people.
Especially me!!
Just remembered what I did wrong. When I saw that screen I assumed (never do that!!) that it had installed and was offering me the option do download 17.4.4 driver!! So I've not actually installed the drivers!! D'oh!
All sorted now with the power plan - cheers for the replies.
One more question, hwinfo64 is reporting vid @ 1.55 when stressing ram. That not a bit high - the cpu is at stock/auto.
Ah ok.Mine reports the same, false reading, hwinfo is hit and miss with ryzen at the moment it seems.
Ah ok.
Anything better, or rather, more accurate for showing volts/temps etc?
