If he does that it's going to be fighting the roof fans for airflow.

Ba-da-boom!
Is that from overclockers?Ba-da-boom!
faster you run the ram the faster your system goes is a general rule anyway. But yes NB freq is 1:1 with RAM speed.i have heard the nb speed =1/2 the memory speed so the faster your ram is the faster the system is.

Gaze upon the cpu-z page and weep.
yes but you need to work on you ram timings and base clock a bit.
that is not my score, my board is dead. that was 8pack's bestest frwend under water and yes 4.1ghz on all 8 cores. I dont think hes play games.Very nice! Jumper what are you cooling it with? and is that 4.1 on all cores? what kinda idle and load when gaming temps you get?
Tres bien, Monsieur.Ba-da-boom!
Big ba-da-boom?Ba-da-boom!
Those who have read about the Asus Crosshair VI Hero having bricking issues, a bios fix has been released, link.
I think your best bet is the 1700 as it runs cooler than the 1700x, why I don't really knowSoo im definitely buying a Ryzen chip, but the question is which do i buy, i mainly game, im not a huge overclocker, but i want something thats not going to go north of 65c when gaming, I will be using a 240mm AIO for cooling in my Phanteks Enthoo Primo case, do i go for the 1700 and be happy with 3.9 as thats what most chips are able to hit? or should i go for the 1700X? but if im going for the 1700X might i just as well get the 1800X? lol
Basically i want a minimum of 4GHZ on all cores 24/7 gaming at around 65c tops when gaming, is this even possible on Ryzen chips with an AIO? is this only possible under a proper water loop?
Ha! don't think my C16 vengeance will quite keep up with ian.yes but you need to work on you ram timings and base clock a bit.
Big ba-da-boom?
The last MSI (1.14) BIOS update has fixed the memory issue so I can now run 4*8GB, it runs @ 1866 (RAM is 2133) but hopefully it will get better after a few more updates.
When I first tried 4*8GB on BIOS 1.0 it would not POST, I had to run 2*8GB @2133. 1.14 is a big improvement, I would rather have 32GB @1866 than 16GB @2133. Also, the timings are much better. Hopefully the next update will increase frequency. Also had this with the 1.14 bios, if you run just 2 sticks it will run @ 2133. I am running 2 @ 2400, if l fit all 4, it runs @ 1866.
