*** Official Ryzen Owners Thread ***

Use the Thaiphoon Burner report to get your memory timings in NS, enter them into the application, pick your require speed, it will calculate the settings for you.

I have not had chance to try it out yet, got some settings to try tonight if I get a chance. :)
Thanks for that will try later on, once I get home.

Just built a 1700x system and the CPU temp isnt right at all, 60-70 idle and then goes to 75 max and then throttles itself.

I'm fairly sure its the crappy 20 dollar cooler master cooler but I expected something better than this?

Have you updated the bios? There is a 20 degree offset for the x models.

Looks like 1.244 volts. I's your cooler seated correctly? Is that with load on the core? Is there thermal paste on the cooler?

Yeah as above make; I'd probably reapply some thermal paste and reseat the cooler in the first instance.

Also install Ryzenmaster as I believe this will give the most accurate temp reading.

I'd honestly not be surprised if the CPU is not making full contact, the mounting bracket is the worst I've ever seen. You can slide the whole thing around even when connected correctly.

The base of the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO doesn't even cover the whole surface area of the CPU, which seems like its a flaw right there.

I used the Ram calculator yesterday and the settings from that calculator come out slower than my current one, which i winged it.
If you are struggling with some frequencies you can use it otherwise do not bother.

Doesn't look anything wrong in particular with that cooler. Only thing I would say is, make sure that there is paste in the grooves between the heatpipes and the aluminium base plate. If not, then it may get mostly squished into those. Take the cooler off and check for contact on the CPU.

Am I missing something.

I have a 1700x Not clocked and I'm doing some mining. I've just checked the HW monitor for temps etc and noticed that the max clock has maxed at 4158Mhz I'm sure it read less than 3800mhz this afternoon.

Bloody Ryzen, was 3333 stable, now cant even get it 3200 stable.....what the hell! :(
It must be the colder weather :D

I used to run mine at 3200 (4sticks), but now I can only do 2666 and loose / default timings :/ otherwise it's 01 code and pc not booting up

Have you updated your Bios? I tried to the latest one with 1.0.0.6B agesa and 2133Mhz couldn't post.I had to revert to some old Bios and since then stable 3200Mhz.
