*** Official Ryzen Owners Thread ***

right i am now getting annoyed and ready for smashing up my new system after 2 days if anyone has extensive know;edge of ryzen 5 1600 with rog strix b350 f gaming and windows 10 pro 64 bit, please can you message me as i have a issue when i shut down come all my fans and leds are remaining running

Sound like it's potentially going into sleep mode. Is your bios up to date? If so I'd try a fresh install of windows 10

@marco.da.man
Get BIOS 1001 from the ASUS site, unzip, put it on an USB stick and update it via the BIOS utility (EZ Flash or something), do note use the Windows utility.
Alternatively you can try BIOS version 0902 if 1001 is still giving you trouble.
Since you said you're on 0401, do note that it's one of the very early BIOS versions which is known to have quite a few issues.

New Prime AM4 BIOS today.

I thought I'd try my ram at rated speeds of 3200Mhz and it booted to windows which is rare. I expected it to crash when I loaded BF1 and it did.

So I upped my DRAM volts to 1.45v and I was able to successfully play two rounds of BF1 at 3200Mhz for the very first time!!

I hope my ram is safe long term at 1.45v?

I wouldn't go above 1.4v for 24/7 myself though I have seen that 1.5v is OK for bdie.
Give it a quick blast with the techpoweup memtest64 or HCI if you want piece of mind.

I tried updating bios to 1001 via ez flash internet it was since then I had fans issue and I’ve reverted back and it’s still happening

Yup like I said earlier too, sounds like it's going into some form of sleep mode. Try clearing the cmos firstly then if that fails do a fresh format including deleting partions and reinstall OS

tried clearing cmos windows 10 pro 64 bit is a fresh install, yes i am pressing shut down and not sleep

Find the sleep mode setting in the BIOS and switch it between S1 and S3 and see if any different to rule it out. Also if windows 10 try turning off hybrid shut down (which is basically sleep!)

Shut down is just a soft position not a hardware one these days. How I miss chassis and PSUs being connected by a big plastic rod...
  1. Search for and open “Power options” in the Start Menu.
  2. Click “Choose what the power buttons do” on the left side of the window.
  3. Click “Change settings that are currently unavailable.”
  4. Under “Shutdown settings” make sure “Turn on fast startup” is disabled.

fast startup is disabled, where do i find those settings in my bios its the b350-f gaming

Yes I know that, it may just be a bios or os bug. We're just trying to help...follow stes advice above. Unfortunately it's a process of elimination in these situations
i very much appreciate everyones advice, with it being a new build, its just that it shut down fine before i flashed bios and now it wont

I can see you have a mobo thread open too :D try unplugging everything like you say nothing to lose. Have you updated to latest chipset too? http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

Then failing that try id be trying a fresh install of Windows. I feel your pain but keep going
