I know spotify doesn't need the sonos app, they can simply open Spotify, choose music, then 'stream' to the speaker. The speaker does need to be on and it should appear in spotify. The speaker names will be the one you assign when you create 'rooms', so I see 'Living Room' (which is Playbar/sub/play 1s) and 'Sonos Roam' when I do this. Not sure if Apple Music has the same/similar functionality.Guys, sorry for a question that will be out there, but I am struggling with the different responses via Google.
I have bought a couple of Play 1s to add to my current system. Currently, all speakers are just on one system, and I am the only one who uses and controls the music. I want to put the 1s in 2 of my kid's rooms so they can use it for their Apple Music. For them to use the speakers will they need to download the Sonos app, connect to the system which is all automated, how will they access their apple music as it seems to revert to mine? Is that normal?
I also know that you can add multiple people's accounts in the Sonos app, so if you were using that you can select the correct profile from an account to play music from.
