*** Official SONOS Thread ***

Only issue I had was getting the Ultra paired back up again with my existing gear but I think that’s more to do with my flaky network issues.

Fantastic upgrade from my Beam Gen 2.

Could be tempted to get some Era 100’s for the surrounds (no space for 300’s) and then move the SL’s around the house.

Was anyone else under the impression that Sonos Voice control was all processed locally? This morning Gus Fring advised me that he couldn't check how long was left on my timer because he couldn't reach the internet.

Have any of you guys who own the arc ultra upgraded from the old arc? - I don't fancy doing a whole refresh of the current system (1 arc, sub and two SLs) without it sounding much better..

I listened to both and couldn’t really tell the difference.

Not like the difference in soundstage going from Beam to Arc.

IMO this is a new gen Arc with a new price tag, and a name to hide the fact it’s a price increase.

It isn’t a different tier of product.

Just moved home and the Sonos kit is REALLY struggling in the new room. I used to set the subs at -2 but now having to set them at +4 to even hear them.

Both in opposing corners as before.

Much bigger room now though and it’s an open plan living/diner/kitchen.

Have you true play tuned them in the new room?

Cheers mate, I am struggling with so many films coming on DTS-MA these days, so may move my sonos to the family room, and get a full separate system for the man cave, this has helped me make a decision cheers!

yes, I have. It’s not a big difference really, speech is noticeably clearer and bass is much stronger. If you have the sub already I doubt the bass bit will matter so IMO only really worth it if you’re having problems with vocal clarity.

Am I correct to assume if you disable wifi on all wired speakers it should disable sonosnet and the non-wired speakers should revert to normal wifi connection?

Doesnt seem to be happening, when killing wifi on the last wired speaker all the wireless units drop off and dont come back till I enable one wired speaker.

Well, a pleasant surprise in conjunction with my Beam (Gen 2) and 2x Symfonisk bookshelf combo. Watching The Batman on Netflix and the Atmos soundtrack really comes into its own. Some of the height effects are astonishingly convincing, given this is a virtual elevation setup (though I do cheat a little by having the rear surrounds facing upwards).
