Maybe in sales numbers as everyone got tricked into thinking it would develop into something very special.
This will not die, there was a huge hole in the market for a game of this type and that was quite evident by all the support it has received for a very small team working on it.
yes i can see this only getting bigger and better.
arma does what it does pretty well but the engine they use and how they implement things is far from good.
thats where this game will win many people over.

I have been playing for around a month now, mainly as a medic. How the hell can you change the zoom distance on the binoculars? When you right click it zooms all the way in making it very difficult to look at things that are closer than about 2km away!
The Redcoats servers are very good, I spend most of my time on them. When you get into a good team its really fun. When you get morons and no-one working together, no orders etc its rubbish
As Ayahuasca said, huge gap in the market for a BF2 game but less arcady whilst not being as complicated / boring / order driven as Arma. Watching videos of BF2 now it just looks like a COD!

I wouldn't mind getting into this, having been a fan of PR a few years ago I would play most nights and do well in a good squad.
How do I go about this? do they still use Mumble or is it now in game chat and would I need BF4/other files to play?

Standalone game m8 and in game comms are fantastic
do it go buy it best alpha game around and it's gonna get better

The original PR mod is standalone now I believe. BF2 copyright not an issue apparently, you can just get the mod and it'll all work.
