******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

I really want the new Connie variants, I want to see how my Phoenix looks.

Also i want the Armada pack but can't justify spending that much, i think i'd cry.

I was about to call you mental for even considering the Armada pack...Then I realised, barring the Idris, I already own most of the other ships in that package. :o lol

edit. looks like a lot of others are buying, money flooding in, about to break $91 million

So I just got back in having missed the entire presentation - unfortunately for a multitude of reasons I wasn't able to attend the event or watch the damn stream. :(

Anyway I don't want to wallow so letting go of that swiftly, I just watched the Star Map video on youtube - amazing.

Just seen the actor list also - a bit in two minds here. On one hand fantastic looking cast, on the other hand I can't help thinking that's a lot of pledge money to pay them compared to unknowns/less known. But it's all shaping up to be amazing. :D

Edit: continuing to catch up on videos.

Next big release is SC Alpha 2.0 which brings single ships, multi crew ships, fps all in one big map. Basically the beginning of the persistent universe.

The HOTAS devices made by Saitek have been reworked to fit the game more.

SQ42 has a celebrity cast such as: Gary Oldman, Mark Hamill, Mark Strong, Gillian Anderson, Andy Serkis, John Rhys Davies, Rhona Mitra etc...

10 hrs of voice acting in SQ42.

Thank you, 1 good answer at least!

@new boy, I only put in $35 so not worried about my money.

I'm not gonna splash thousands on a game.

I can see AC v.13 dropping this month along with Star Marine. Then AC v2.0 end of November.

Really enjoyed what I saw at Citizen Con but my worries about how clunky the movement feels especially in EVA still seem to be present. If they can make it smooth it will be spectacular, as it stands it looks awkward including moving around your ship.

I think Star marine might be part of 2.0 now (happy to be proven wrong there)

On the whole a lot of the core mechanics are now working together, fps, ava, multi crew, ship gravity and now a solar system to play in. The problem is we have seen it all by itself before, so the impact isn't as big as I think it should have been seeing it altogether for the first time :(
