What's wrong with your X55?

it has changed somewhat patch to patch, but overall it appears to either favour nvidia, or equivalent cards roughly match (at stock settings, with overclocking things obviously tend to skew back in nvidia's favour)

I'm running 2 x AMD R9 290s in Crossfire and getting between 40-60fps in Arena Commander at 1080p

Have you benchmarked NVIDIA vs AMD to come up with your conclusion? Be interested to see the comparision.

Yeah its still on the PTU up to backer #110000 atm, people got email invites for it. It was still pretty buggy last time I tried it but there have been a couple of patches since then.

Public Test Universe, its for testing early patches before they go live to everyone else. Dave is right its actually up to backer number 200,000 now

So framerate has increased for me, and I can get in every time now... Just having a large amount of crashes, especially in the bigger ships....

I'm also suffering from what I think is a lot of lag... Where are the servers located at the moment? I'm in NZ and I don't think they have any in the Oceania or Asian regions yet?

Just managed to get a ride in a constellation before the client crashed again, pretty cool! I think its my latency which is causing the trouble but I really like the design of the local grid for the ships!

Just check your account on the RSI website, go to settings under "my account" and if the PTU section is lit up yellow, then you can copy your account across and start downloading the PTU.

Yeah, alternatively it can all be done from the launcher.
