******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

If you ever wondered why non gamers think we are all a bunch of nerdy kids, just watch this sketch before the EU vs USA.

Also it's like they have to get every socially awkward person working there and stick them in front of the camera.

Whole lot has been a cringe fest.

Or go along to a Star Citizen event and discover they're all just normal people having fun? :p

I'm sure they would have fun but watching the early parts of the stream was awful and not just for th fact it barely worked.

It's got better though now they sorted the issues out.

Still it's nothing we haven't already seen and it's been pretty boring. Star Marine imo looks very clunky and seems hard to see what's going on.

All a bit meh.

Star marine is excellent, I completely disagree :P

They need to stop doing so many end of year events, thin it out too more. Gamescom, Citizencon, anniversary and Christmas events makes little sense, you can't consistently release lots of content like that.

I'll play Star Marine but to me it just doesn't look a smooth experience, it's far too dark, movement is clunky, it just feels pretty average.

That said I'll judge more when I get to play it. I want to try the racing more as it looks fun and hopefully improve my flying.

Montly reort is better than the stream was :)

Concierge last night:

"We should be involved, it's mean to be open development, this is ridiculous."

Same guy this morning (he got in with subscriber access)

"this is a buggy mess, why am I wasting my time?"

lol same idiot was questioning why the Evocati were there because they don't do much and suggesting a rename because they aren't special.

The stream was dog s***, the fact they keep insisting to live stream when they have no idea on how to make sure any of the microphones work and making sure audio is in sync with the video is beyond me...

The pictures of the Vanduul were spoiled like in the first 3 mins of it and half of the error's just made that stream a joke.

I really don't understand why they don't just make a quality video somewhat of the production value of ATV instead of a live stream.

At least in a already edited video they can make sure that they can provide the amount of information they wanted to share without having to redo segments and stall for time etc.

Because Ben had a segment where i couldn't hear anything that he was saying because of his microphone and they had to redo the entire segment.

Very disappointed with it overall and i went in with low expectations, 2016 has been a slow slow year for SC. For that said i'm very much looking forward to 2017, 2.6 and beyond.

They do need to get it together when it comes to livestreaming though.

They do a live stream as it's more FUN, they'll edit it all to make it look better later - they always do. No two ways about it though since Mike Morlan left the audio issues have become more of an issue and they don't seem to be able to get a handle on it.

It's no where near as simple as many people think to do a live stream the way they do it - multiple sites, multiple cameras, multiple mics on multiple continents. Personally I'd rather they moved to a split - pre-record the marketing guff, the Q&A and then have streams of the competitions (which I REALLY enjoyed). This is how WMH use to do it, Mike would pre-record/edit sections they could throw in whilst they setup the next interview etc.
