The Vanguard is better, and 3X more expensive, its a heavy fighter, you expect it to have more fire-power and robust shields, but this thing... i would have challenged @FloppyPoppy to kill it with his Retaliator Torps, i put 4 missiles from my MSR into it myself, had no effect on the shields.

sounds like a bug then. They aint that destructable lol
 
I have a Sentinel and Harbinger bought in game, but they're tankier tools for a job. Sabre/Hornet are the ones I take for combat when it's more about the fun factor, while still packing beef. Just gotta make sure you don't get shot as much :D

Sukorans aren't indestructible or anything. They just have high HP and are really good at defending against physical/projectile weapons.
Oh, and you'll have to own a Prowler to get them.

Its what i like about the Super Hornet, it feels like a Tank, a Crude Brute... if it had an accent it would sound like Arnie.
 
I bought a Superhornet ingame, wish I bought the regular Hornet instead in hindsight. It's not a bad ship, it just doesn't really seem to offer anything over the regular Hornet right now bar an extra seat I never use. I could have an extra chunk of money ingame instead!

The F7C is missing the top and chin turret's.
 
As Petey said, you can fit it out the same. Plus I think it has a few extra missile slots, not that brings the grand total that high! Think one of the recent dev videos said that the SuperHornet was due a bit of a buff though, which will be nice.
Arguably I should have forced myself to get better with fixed turrets and got a Vanguard of some form. But aside from the fixed built-in guns I find the looks a bit odd, that damn chin mount for a size 5 weapon annoys me - if that mount was built into the nose somewhat and the 4 smaller guns were mounted elsewhere on the body it would look way better! I do like the interior of the Vanguard mind, and the shields are epic compared to all the other fighters :D

Wondering how much my piloting would improve with a better joystick. I keep eyeballing the VKB Gladiator NXT. Huge upgrade over the old Saitek Cyborg I've had for 10+ years and looks way better than the Thrustmaster T T16000. Got 2 mates that keep raving about their Virpils, but I don't think I can justify that much extra cash even if I can afford it... What does everyone else use?
