Is the C8R purchasable in game yet? I'm tempted by the rescue loop as it looks amusing but only just got access to a PC capable of playing SC after giving my older PC to my son.

Hi, tried XT last night and the server i played on still had 100 players!!
It was fascinating to see ships destroyed no longer despawned and it looked like a proper battle just happened in that area

I've spent the last couple days collecting and sorting gear. Having a big org vs org tomorrow with us attacking a bunker. Looking forward to it but hoping the server holds together and doesn't bug out / desync etc.
Although sorting out a dozen bits of gear for everything, such as tractor beams which need to be manually added to each tool one at a time. It'll be nice in 5 years when the game is truly

@BlizzardX Btw, unless I'm missing something, the Cutlass Red and the C8R both have the same Tier 3 medbeds, so there's no real need to wait for the Pisces if that's all you're really after.
Plus, the Cutty is far more versatile.

So, I have a Star Citizen package from when I got an AMD GPU, it was a long time ago. I installed it but could not work out how to get out of the hanger so uninstalled it. Anyway, I thought I would give it a try now as it’s been years so it might be better. Is it playable now without throwing money at them as it’s not the kind of game I will play much?

I can't remember if the AMD bundle came with a ship and a game package or just the ship, you need both a game package and the ship to get in to the persistent universe, i would give it a go.... you have a ship, which is the AMD branded Mustang Omega.

I just installed it, the site says I have a package and ship and I think I need to select a location in the persistent universe.I can't remember if the AMD bundle came with a ship and a game package or just the ship, you need both a game package and the ship to get in to the persistent universe, i would give it a go.... you have a ship, which is the AMD branded Mustang Omega.

It came with the Mustang and a game package. It's how I got into SC, as I was gifted the same package back in 2014.
Like Fred, I tried it way back then and also couldn't figure out how to see my ship or get out of the hangar. Turns out there was no 'outside the hangar' back then anyway

I have started at the place in that video and am in my ship.
Cannot get out of the station, should have a [Go to ship] button and [launch] button. It’s just a lot of work for no reason.

You're in the hanger in your ship? press F11, on the right hand side the friends tab you will find NB Space Port, assuming you're at New Babbage, hale them, that will open the hanger doors.

Once in your seat, press R to power up systems.
You can also set a keybind to hail the ATC with one click in advanced keybindings.
Either way, don't expect anything to be super simple and straightforward.
It'll take time to get your head around things.
