******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

Struggling with the game, have got the hang of docking, landing, flying, warp jumping etc, but I keep getting disconnections when i'm very close to completing a salvage mission or, when im on the way - Such a massive shame as its got so much potential!

Wouldnt be too bad but every time it does it, puts me back in the hosital and now ive lost all my gear / armour / weapons.... and no "flag" as to where they were....gutted

It was ******* me right off. I’m waiting for the next update where things might be a bit better. When it works it’s great, but such a shame things like that happen far too often and it stopped me wanting to invest my time into something that I might get half way through and then disconnected or bugged.

Literally happened about 8 times before I gave up and loaded up cyberpunk.

From just disconnecting from server while travelling / landing to getting stuck on a bulkhead trying to retrieve those glowing green boxes on salvage missions, even fell through the floor once trying to get in the elevator in new babbage after being 1 **** by something on a salvage mission haha.

The sad thing is, this could be an amazing game, it has so much potential!!

It’s very frustrating when things you’ve mentioned keep happening. I do think it’s going to be a great game though, I miss playing it already and am eager to get back into it, but it’s going to have to be in a better state before I waste anymore time wishing the game to work when certain things just don’t.

That's my problem, I'm lucky if I get a few hours ge really to game without the wife asking me to fix something xD

Means what I do get is almost precious, feel like I've been cheated out of my time a little this weekend, not only that I've lost all my armour and weapons - such a shame!

I’m the same. Once the kids are settled I maybe get an hour or two if I’m lucky.

That’s the thing when you start off and what little money you do have ends up going fast on wasted missions losing armour etc it’s a pain.

I Found a place called Gallette Family Farm on Celin. You go in and loot the crates in every room to get weapons and sometimes armour and it costs you nothing. You can just go to your ship and lie down and log out then go back and do it again over and over until you have loads of things to either keep or sell. Just remember to put everything you store into location inventory and just move it all over into your ships inventory when you have done it enough times and are ready to leave.

Little things like that can sort of even the playing fields a bit.

All true and while i'm not excusing it this current live build is one of the worst ever, patches while never perfect are rarely this bad.

3.18 is going quite well, that going live is in sight.

PS: while it can be very frustrating its hard to stay away for long, there is no other game anything like this and when it works its brilliant.

I'm not bothering with the PTU but seeing comments from those that do. It does sound good. Soon(tm) :D

Just for balance, RE my last post...

I must admit I’ve popped on once or twice since my last rant:D. I’m just not really doing any missions etc, just mucking around mainly ending up with a crime stat.

I see that, I spent so many hours on Frontier:Elite 2 on the amiga XD - it certainly seems to have stolen some of that - not a bad thing at all!

I'm sure ill be happy once I've managed to find some free items so it doesnt halt my play when I do lose everything!

That's what I'll do next try and find that farm haha!

Jumped back on for an hour just now, did my "kill 10 guys mission" died with three to go, asked if anyone was around to revive me, someone flew across the galaxy, killed the last few baddies, revived me, gave me some money, and left - was amazing.

Picked up a load of stuff from look boxes, med stuff, got some new guns, ammo, etc then I jumped back in my ship took off... Game crashed

Gutted is not the word.

The frequency of your crashing might not be related to the game, tho it is sensitive to slightly unstable hardware where other games might not be...

If you have any ovcerclocks disable them, if only to test that :)

30k?

Yep all stable, no overclock at the moment (not for daily, only benching) - Only game I have that's crashing (suppose I'm rather lucky being a 7900xtx owner and not getting crashes) - works perfect on cyberpunk too for hours at a time.
