*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

Well how confusing is that lol I went to origin and the game is listed as £29.99 onwards but no mention of a free trial to demo the game.

Yet if you look or search the official website, you can indeed obtain a free copy to try it out https://account.swtor.com/trial

Quite handy, so that’ll do me and I’ll give it a go. That’s my evening sorted, upset the girlfriend when I fire the laptop up and pretend to be a sith lord lol

let me refer you in case you do like it... i get a speeder then :P

It seems the development team has been downsized again

Not exactly good news after some positive developments (1.3, server transfers)

I'm not sure this is as doom and gloom as people are making out, they had a massive dev team for the game that simply isn't needed now the game is up and running. Turnover of staff is especially high in this industry too - although with all of that being said whenever a high profile member of the team leaves there will be questions.

Does the Group Finder allow you to find bods to do the 2 & 4 man Heroics? At the moment I just type LFG and it's very hit and miss.

Anyone on the Tomb of Freedon Nadd server, Imperial side?

Levelling up a new character because I've switched from my 50 Guardian to Empire. Realised the Jedi Knight is the only class aesthetics I like on Republic and really want a Juggernaut/Sorcerer and Mercenary xD

Looking for a guild xD

Great achievement well done mate!

we managed to get Stormcaller and Firebrand HM last night, getting there :)

Thanks mate. First two bosses are trickier than the 3rd IMO, but as with most it's a case of nailing the mechanics and praying no one screws up!

So refreshing when you kill him isnt it - i've managed him on both my slinger and sage (healing) now - the first time there was a fist pump in the air

Yes, definitely. Sweaty hands, heart going and loud voices at the end. :p
Very happy we did it though, Pilgrim next I think.

Although I agree there is a lot of unfounded negatively, especially on the forums this is alittle more than natural shedding of development staff post release as large scale lay offs were made in April / May time, this is a further lay off of staff.

This suggests to me that again subscriber numbers have fallen, I believe there is an earnings call soon which will reveal current numbers which I suspect have fallen from 1.3m to around 1.0m subs

I think that's a fair assessment. I'm hoping once the numbers stabilise bioware will be able to progress the game as they want.

Pilgrim is much easier then Kephess - just need to make sure you all have the debuff from daily vendor and the DPS know not to attack when they get the debuff from the dog and when the shield is up.

And hope the reps aren't ganking around!
Not quite ;)

Fair play! I'll be back up to that soon, just I've been on ops most nights and not had much of a chance to get money from dailies etc.

Yea we had to move our raid up to get him as imps were always about; don't know why there is such a long respawn timer for him considering the loot and the weekly mission - it's annoying.

Well I splashed 2 mil on the rocket boots and not done many dailies myself recently - had I of kept up i'd be over 10million by now, been floating on 5-6million for about 6 weeks. I have 3 50's so could prob get close to a million a day from dailies if I bothered!

They just take so long to do them all, and they're painfully boring. I've got the rocket boosts now as well fully unlocked, and I'm wondering what to save up for next.
