Unbelievable. I watch Forlan in most games he plays internationally and for Athletico as he's one of my favourite players. One question, have you seen him tearing up the WC, he's been brilliant in every game, and ran the second, scoring 2. Did you see the UEFA Cup this season? He made light work of everybody, English or not.

yes i have seen an awful lot of his scuffs this season. its like i could create a 30 second clip of Saha making him look like the worlds best left footed striker ever. except he isnt, its purely a form/leader thing for the team they are playing in.

im not saying that forlan, nor fabiano are not in some way talented, however, to make the assumption that they would be goal kings at man utd is... fanciful to say the least. we tried saha, tried forlan, but ultimately its 'if the scuff fits' and no, i just dont see them doing the business.. and if you read MY post instead of opening a tirade at me, you will notice that i said as to why that would be the case. in spain they are pretty soft to say the least. look at Torres, he wants to go home to spain because he says he will be terminally injured if he stays playing against premiership butchers, sorry i mean defenders.

i dont think primiership is the pinnacle, nor have i suggested as such so in my view your post is just wrong and misses the point i made entirely.

Well the Yaya Toure deal is almost done apparently! and we have been given permission to talk to David Silva which im not too happy about as i just see a new 'Robinho' in him and i think he will suffer as bad as Robinho. I would much rather go for Mesut Ozil who is coming from a tough league i understand and so is better suited straight away. And can see him fitting in just fine behind Tev.

To be fair to Saha, he was pretty damn good when he got a decent run in the United team.

Never really seen why Silva is so highly rated - admittedly I rarely see Valencia play but I cannot remember him doing anything out of the ordinary in the past couple years, I actually think Robinho is a better player.

Is this guy that is apparently being bullied by some of the French squad? We have problems with that on the pitch from technically gifted teams such as Bolton, Blackburn or Stoke etc., I don't think an approach for guy who's having gip off it is a good idea.

Pretty much. The only big difference between the two is height and IQ.

I suppose in a glass half full kind of way it means there's the potential for the future to be a massive improvement....

so you don't believe players especially young ones can improve? not even under very talented managers like Arsene Wenger?

...and in a glass half empty kind of way it's gotta be noted not all of Wenger's youngsters will make it. Even now we have others that need to leave, e.g. Denilson, Diaby, Vela etc. etc.

Fabregas has had fresh talks with Arsenal? Whilst still in South Africa? Training for the World Cup that Spain are still critcally involved in?

Yes, Daily Mail, good work there. I'm completely convinced.

Hodgson would do a great job at Liverpool, but he could also ruin his whole reputation. I hope it's all speculation though :(. I do NOT want Sven.
