your talking about a brazilian internationalist, who is a proven scorer for club and country, defoe on the other hand has just had 1 good season, they are leagues apart in terms of quality.
fabiano on a bad day will get 2 goals, defoe on a good day will struggle to get one.
Fabiano has had two good seasons at the 'top' level. If the Spanish league can be called that now. He's far from proven.
Nor is Defoe, but Fabiano isn't the goalscoring messiah he's made out to be.
I wouldn't say no, but I wouldn't swap Defoe for him.
