Now now don't be harsh...

... the Daily Start isn't that bad ;)

ilol'd :D

Comments like that prove to me you are an idiot. Do not ever associate yourself with Arsenal FC or its supporters. Seriously...

Too true, some of his stuff is priceless and on the rare occasion that he gets something right it's because he spouts so much bull**** that occasionally some of it has to stick.

Funny thing is DM has a point. So far have arsenal have not stregthened the areas which they need gk and cb. Why keep fabregas when the cash used from his sale can make the squad stronger. If he gets injured are arsenal doomed to a 3rd or 4th spot again? Look at Liverpool they became a 1-2 man team, torres and steve g. Now torres sold for £40 mil would bring money to fill the huge gaps in the squad. Then again arsenal are in much better position than cash wise..
Oh what happen to the kids who did so well in the carling cup a few years back?

DM makes some good points, it's just so much to waffle through to see them.

No Arsenal haven't stregthened the squad, they've let players go, and failed to replace them and improve on them.

They need to clear out the dead wood, and selling Cesc would and could bring in a lot of money to improve the squad.

Same goes for lots of clubs though, have a clear out, bring in a few better players in certain postitions and sell a bigger player to help fund it.

A few bookmakers, including Paddy Power, have suspended betting on Torres joining Chelsea.

They'll reopen it which will provoke numpty punters to back it 'while they can'. The bookies know how to bring in the money. Look how many times betting was suspended for Benitez leaving during last season.

Thing is wenger won't spend regardless of how much he gets for a player, if fabregas goes all it means is wilshire or nasri will be given his position

Only because Talk***** 'announced' it yesterday. Apparently, it came from a one of the medical staff at Anfield...
Just as Joe Cole is 100% joining United *cough*
Oh, and lets not forget they exclusively revealed that RM had a deal in place to sign SG weeks before the world cup :p

Nasri and Ramsey would both do good jobs in that position and it makes me a little bit more confident of our chances when Fabregas does eventually leave. We thought we'd struggle to score when Henry left but that hasn't been the case and while Cesc is an exceptional talent and a key player, nobody is irreplaceable, we have a couple of players who can step up to the task and while they may not be as good as Fabregas I don't think it'll be the end of the world when he does go.

Also, the only players from defence that we've let go have been Gallas and Silvestre. Silvestre didn't really do anything except make the numbers up, he was dire every time he played and no doubt cost us in certain games. Gallas was a decent enough player and while it's a shame he's gone I don't really think I'll miss him that much after what he did at Birmingham. Koscielny looks to be a decent replacement with a good attitude and hopefully he can perform and step into the gap that Gallas has left. In all truth we are only 1 CB down from where we were last season and that 1 CB could be Silvestre who was dire.

Ideally we need another CB but if we don't get one now there's no reason why we won't in January. A new keeper looks like it might happen more and more as the days go by with the amount of talk but again, we have 4 keepers, Almunia isn't THAT bad he just happens to drop a clanger when it matters, not ideal again but not the end of the world, we've managed with him since the end of the Lehmann era and come close to winning the league on several occasions.

If that situation justifies selling our star player for much less than he is actually worth then I'll eat a hat.

The thing is that we dont really need to sell Fabregas;)...we are pretty profitable and from what i have been reading Wenger has the money available to spend on new players without us selling players.

Problem is Wenger doesnt seem to think we need to spend money as other than Chamakh and Koscielny we havent signed a world class GK or another CB which we need as our defence is weak at the best of times...if anything we need to strengthen those positions...our other positions are more or less set.

Still got a few more weeks before the full season starts so hopefully we will sign a few more players but i honestly cant see it.

But you miss the point. Wenger has money to spend. If we sell Fabregas then we are a big player down and just have more money that we wont spend.

So which do you think is better, another £30-40m in our bank or a world class player(Yes he is world class in my eyes :p) on the field?

As said above we can easily make the 8 quota if we sell bridge, swp, ireland and onuha because we can just register some youngsters eg Nimley,Boyata,Cunnigham,Weiss?
I hope we sign Balotelli as then we can hopefully get rid of Santa Cruz! He looks like he can fit in the premier league quite well almost a younger drogba-strong,fast,powerful,good finisher....

World class for sure. So is wenger just tight or thick?
