TBH they need to stamp out footballers doing this sort of thing in the media. If' xavi wants to be an agent I suggest he quits and does it. I hope these barca players that have spent the season gobbing off get a large dose of karma.
I've never seen a team so desperate to buy a player for the bench. If they wanted him so badly they should have just paid OTT money like Madrid did.
Put up or shut up. The bleating they have done to try to get a player on the cheap is pretty annoying.
Its very clear everyone at Barca see's him as a starter, and seeing as he was better than Xavi, Iniesta in both the world and Euro cups, with his introduction being an obvious improvement every time, you'd be mad to think he wouldn't start games.
Infact can anyone name the last 25mil + signing who never started games very often, I can't think of one(who wasn't injured). Kaka, completely and utterly useless lasted 20+ games before he was benched and he might have been the worst player on the team in that time.
As for players talking in the press, I believe Sagna has said quite a lot in the press about buying this French defender I can't remember the name of, Theo's talking about players coming to Arsenal, though we haven't been talking about many transfers, Arsenal players do this most seasons, as do most players at most clubs. Players get asked questions, they answer questions, its incredibly boring to ignore the 99% of players that do it and pick on only one group of players, just because it happens to be about players at your club.
I'd absolutely love for him to stay, want to stay and be successful if he stayed. However, he won't stay, he won't be successful it he stays, there needs to be other sweeping changes that aren't happening for the team to win something, and I don't blame him for wanting to live in the same town as his family, friends, club he played for, for a decade, club he loves and club he grew up supporting. 98% of people in the world would want to play for the club in the town that had all their friends and family.
Its called free speech, tapping up is supposedly going behind a clubs back, agreeing personal terms and/or persuading the player to essentially strike to force a move.
Talking about a player in the press is NOT tapping up, EVERY MANAGER in the world does this, because press constantly ask about just about every player, get over it.
