Shocked at what people think of Hleb. His ability on the ball is staggering and he's technically better than any Liverpool player (as I believe he was at Arsenal), he was my favourite player whilst at Arsenal, he's the type of footballer you pay to watch, an absolute pleasure to watch. True quality.
Sir Alex Ferguson has acknowledged that the decision to sign Bébé for £7.4m represented something of an impulse purchase, saying that Manchester United would normally spend more time scouting a player before making an approach.
"It is one of those things that happens when you identify someone with potential," said Ferguson. "Normally you would assess someone over a longer period of time but other clubs were starting to have a look so we made a quick decision.
"He doesn't speak any English, so that needs to be addressed, and we need to allow him to settle in but sometimes you have to work on an impulse."
Shame the same impulse shopping doesn't apply to Ozil, would make a lot of people happy![]()

I've read his old club failed to pay him, so he could walk from there... then this other club signed him up on a five year deal... then Manyoo came along and stumped up his fee release clause.
Hleb always seemed to be a dangerous player whenever I saw him play for Arsenal, he just seemed a bit shot shy at times. He would get into an excellent attacking position and then pass to someone else rather than have a shot himself.
Ferguson has probably been tipped off by Queiroz, it's still a really bizarre transfer and completely not what we needed right now. £7m is a complete joke, how on earth could his transfer command such a fee? It's madness.![]()
It was the release clause apparently, so clearly Ferguson didn't want to bother negotiating, and just thought he'd get him ASAP, which is another reason it all seems so odd. It's not like MU wouldn't have the pulling power to keep the player interested while they negotiated a lower price.Ferguson has probably been tipped off by Queiroz, it's still a really bizarre transfer and completely not what we needed right now. £7m is a complete joke, how on earth could his transfer command such a fee? Guys, do the math, right now Berbatov is on 244k a week, if you classify a deal the way the papers are doing with city.
Transfer fee + wages for all years of contract averaged over length of contract.
Berbatov 100k a week(guessing) x 4 years, 20mil, +30mil transfer /208 weeks = 244k a week.
Yaya is probably on a 200k a week deal thats classified in the same way, and Zlatan 500k a week deal probably includes a good 70-80mil transfer fee as Barca probably just realised they paid 60mil and gave away a 50mil euro striker, in a deal that when totted up probably averages out to over 500k a week themselves (60mil + 50mil Eto'o + 100k a week wages on a 5 year contract = well over 500k a week on average).
THis is the problem to date, every other deal is just transfer fee and ignore the wages, City started to play in the big boys league and suddenly every deal is transfer fee + wages.
Remember people talking about Adebayor's £80mil deal, wages + transfer fee added together. Now the shocking way to do it is make that number and then average it into a weekly fee(which becomes hugely less if said player signs a new contract or leaves for a big fee).
Its a joke, and the papers are just trying to make City's spending look more shocking, however as said, take ANY big Chelsea/Utd/Liverpool deal and do the same thing and the City deals don't look very big. Torres + wages + contract averaged out = a lot more than 100k a week.
