Of course there is something to it. We've all known it pretty much for years.

He is going at some point, but the only evidence so far that its this season is something that Ballague has put on his website that everyone has picked up on.

When I asked if Spawn was suggesting there's nothing to the story, I was referring to reports that Fabregas wants to go this season.

And there's more than just Ballague's comments as evidence; why would a player that still has 4 years left on his contract be making comments about wanting his future sorted before the World Cup?

Whether there's any real foundation in these reports? Only time will tell but looking at it as a neutral, it appears as if Fabregas has finally said enough is enough and he wants to go now, not 1 day.

Whether or not they have tapped him up is another question entirely...Barca know that Fab wants to play for them simple as that;)...they and Arsenal know it will happen one day...maybe this season and if not definitely next season unless we win the prem, CL, FA and worthless cup trophies then maybe he will stick around...but its a cert that Fab will go to Barca at some point in the near future.

.

I think he will leave next season even if we won the treble with Arsenal next season. He would then say, well I have won everything here...

If we dont win something then he can say we dont have the ambition...either way he will be gone by next season. Would be a real shock if he went this summer.

These comments were put out by the Spanish rag AS though in an informal converstaion. Not saying its not true but it could have been taken out of context or just be Barca propaganda.

The point is, Fab hasnt said enough is enough, he hasnt said anything.

Until Fabregas or Wenger make a statement its all just gossip from the papers to sell more papers.

He will be gone next season but not this

I havent seen anything relating to Fabregas saying that he wants to go now...unless your taking the Suns word as gospel;) seeing as on their backpage its saying IM GONER or something equally as stupid as that.

So far Fabregas has said he wants his future sorted out...i havent heard him say...right by the time i get back from the WC i want to be at Barca or anything of that sort.

I'll only believe it when Fab goes or when Arsenal/Barca say they are in talks over him...which could very well be the case in the next few weeks. Up till now its just the normal media hearsay trying to second guess whats going on. I just hope that if Fabregas does go...we get a lot of money for him...not some stupid £30-£40mill for him.

At the same time those statements also say he's in no hurry to leave.

According to the links I have, it was Marca not AS. Although it's far from reliable, Marca wouldn't print Barca propaganda, it's a Real biased rag.

Not as reliant as you are with Rooney:rolleyes:...tell me where the bulk of your goals came from this season??...Rooney wasnt it??...imagine if you didnt have him or he was injured for most of the season...who would have scored the majority of your goals?? Berba flop??? LOL.

And who scored and created the bulk load of your goals.... imagine when you dont have Fabregas who's going to do that job? Denilson??? LOL.

Providing the quotes are true, why say what he did if he's not thinking about/wanting to leave this summer?

Whether he leaves or not, this story can't be put down to being just some nonsense from Ballague.

wow Tom84 spouting Man Utd centric rubbish again! Such a surprise :o!!!!

Oh I'm sorry which part was I wrong about? That Fabregas was your top scorer? that Fabregas is leading your assists by almost double the person who's second on the list? The fact that you were shown to be lightyears behind United and Chelsea with him in the team and without your best player you'll be even further behind?

Stop me if wrong but none of those points are arguable

If you are all for taking Fabregas away and adding nothing then take Rooney away, Scholes and Giggs who are very likely to leave within the next 12-18 months anyway and what kind of team do you have then? Arsenal without Cesc still have Arshavin, Robin van Persie, Rosicky, Nasri, Bendtner, all more than capable of scoring and assisting and your statement that Arshavin wants to leave is absolut pish with no backing behind it whatsoever. He has never said that he wants to leave Arsenal. I fail to see your point about being beaten by Utd at The Emirates, yes we were poor and yes Man Utd beat us but you do realise that the season isn't just about games against rivals, it's the most consistent team that prevails and unfortunately, you didn't prevail so unless you have something interesting to bring up, don't bring anything up at all.

You seriously give the rest of the Man Utd supporters a bad name with your constant ignorance and one sided posting, unable to ever see the strengths of other peoples teams, only the weaknesses.

Well i wont deny that Fabregas was our top scorer due to RVP being out for most of the season plus relying Edu and Bender wasnt going to give us goals galore.

But you do know we just signed Chamakh right??....so hopefully the pressure of scoring goals will be eased on other players....lets not forget that Arshavin scored around 10 goals too amongst a few other players who chipped in a few.

As for Denilson...everyone knows hes absolute rubbish but he did score a few goals for us....but maybe Wenger will do Fergie a favour and give him to you...seeing as you cant afford to buy anyone this summer:D LOL.

The first two no, but the rest.

We out-played UTD at OT. UTD were the better at the Emirates.

I have different views on the Chelsea games. At home we actually controlled possession more and overall it was pretty close, with Drogba being the difference (as is so often the case). At the Bridge, again Drogba the difference but neither game was as you portray them.

The bleak picture you paint of those games is not accurate.
