Walcott's injury might not be too bad before. I've gone over on my ankle over 10 times and have now snapped all three outer ligaments. However that is done by falling with my entire weight on it.

Walcott's looks like it has happened with a bit of force from the defender? I've not seen a video of the incident but I know when I have been challenged much like Walcott appears to have been forcing me to go over on my ankle, the injury is a LOT less serious than when my entire body weight has caused it to collapse.

It did look like an awkward fall though at decent speed. They've confirmed it's not a break so here's to hoping his ligaments didn't get damaged, could only be <1 month

In other news outside Ashburton Grove, Cashely Who? Ade what was his name?

Hopefully Walcott won't be out for very long, apparently nothing is broken according to Sky although I'm sure that will change overnight. It's a shame really because he was just hitting form and this will surely set him back, just when he was starting to prove the doubters wrong. It won't be that bad in terms of Arsenal, we have plenty of options, we don't have to play a 4-3-3 if we haven't got the players to do it although I'm sure that Eboue, Arshavin and maybe Rosicky could play somewhere up there on the right hand side. If not then there are plenty of youngsters who can come in for a few games if needed.

WE've got tonnes of backup players, it will be yet again Wengers complete unwillingness to give anyone a chance. 58 strikers on the bench, play Arshavin upfront, 78 wingers ready to go, put a couple strikers on the wing, and a couple really crap ex attacking midfielders at defensive midfield, stick a DM at centre back, etc, etc, etc.

Walcott starting to prove the doubters wrong? No chance, Walcott changing the minds of people who change their mind about players every 4 minutes based on a couple good games a season.

Remember for half a season, based on two goals against Pompie last year everyone thought Diaby was doing a really great job for us, now most think he's utterly crap again, then when he's completely uninvolved in attack, you know, being an attacking player, he gets credit for being disciplined and "staying back to cover", even though he's shockingly bad defensively.

Walcott put in 10 minutes of good football(being very very generous) across two games against two awful awful sides. He was beyond crap in preseason against some better sides, beyond crap for the majority of the game and a truly awful winger with his only moments of worth coming deep in the penalty box. Hopeless player, when a defence doesn't decide to simply let our team waltz though, he's entirely no help and the moments he played as a lone striker were truly terrible, against Blackburn for no reason we took of Fabregas as he started to find his feet this season(aswell as Arshavin), took of Fab, Walcott upfront Chamakh on the wing and we were turd for the last 20 minutes and fairly lucky not to concede a cheap goal.

Oh yeh forgot about Chamakh and i consider Arshavin and Vela CAM really so thats why i said 1 striker

Except that Arshavin and Vela almost always play on the left hand side so I don't know how you can consider them to be central attacking midfielders.

Okay buddy, let's just say that Walcott is absolute **** and will never measure up to the pinnacle of footballing skill, talent and sheer determination that is Eboue.

Drunkenmaster loves to hate Walcott, but we will miss him against Notlob. I wonder who we'll play there. I would like to see Rosicky in the team somewhere but I think Wenger will shunt him out wide and stick with his favoured trio of Song, Diaby & Fab, and I'm not sure if Rosicky's as effective out wide. We will be less potent going forward without Walcott's searing pace.
Ideally Vela would be the man to come in and start showing what he can do in this situation, but I'm starting to suspect that perhaps Wenger thinks he's not good enough.

----------------Chamakh-----------------
Arshavin---------------------------Rosicky
------------Diaby----Fabregas------------
-----------------Song--------------------
Clichy-Vermaelen-Squillaci/Koscielny-Sagna
----------------Almoron------------------

Nasri might be in contention for the Bolton game as well, although personally I don't think that Wenger will risk him against a traditionally physical Bolton so soon after an operation.

Yeah could just be a sprain. Whatever the result, I'm sure its Shawcross' fault in some way, right Arsene?

What's he got to do with it? Walcott wasn't idiotically maimed, last night was just an annoying and unfortunate incident for Arsenal.

Plus Shawcross doesn't possess the technical abilities needed to be of international standard anyway, and last night wasn't a domestic game?

Ahhh sponge... probably sums up most of the Stoke fans mindsets. Because Shawcross never hurt anyone amirite?

The reference to Shawcross is about Wenger saying that Shawcross kicked Gomes in the Stoke Spurs game, something that did not happen.

Sorry mate i didnt mean Central i just meant attacking mid in general and i dont think Walcott is **** he just needs a bit of teaching of when to pass and cross although this season he has really improved.
